It is.....to my understanding it was discontinued becasue its parent company was bought out and the new company was not interested in producing it. I really like the system and am just curious to see who has used it and what they thought.

Just some food for thought....did you know that Alicia Keys entire cd was done with PAris?

IN MY OPINION PARIS AND PRO TOOLS RUN NECK AND NECK. THE CAT ACROSS THE STREET FROM ME LACED ME ON PARIS. TO BAD ITS DISCONTINUED. THE ONLY THING I DIDNT FEEL WAS THE CONTROLLER/MIXER THAT IS USED WITH IT. IF I CAN REMEMBER CORRECTLY IT HAD 16 FADERS WITH A MASTER. I LIKE FOR EACH CHANNEL TO HAVE ITS OWN FADETS AND PAN POTS.

I WOULDNT DO AN ENTIRE ALBUM IN ONE FORMAT. THATS JUST ME. I WOULD MIX DOWN TO TAPE.

:H:

IF YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE SELLING THE SYSTEM SNATCH IT UP.

Paris was discontinued because the manufactore of the chips the paris eds cards used went under.

Paris may not be as known as Pro tools but is praised for it's A/D converters, alot of people say they sound the closest to tape, but remember everybody has different opinions. I saw paris in action years ago and loved it and always wanted a paris system, so I fallowed it and know quite a bit about it.

One Paris EDS card gives you 16 hardware based tracks, version 3.0 adds host based tracks also.

Paris Pro

Yeah the control surface they have is none motorized so that sucks and since it is dicontunied dont expect many more if any OS upgrades.
