Are these required by law if you cuss on your CD? If so what are the punishments for not having one? Also how are sales affected by the presence of PA stickers? I would think sales would be better with the sticker...

I would think if you dont put the sticker on the cd than the record label whould get fined. and yes there requiered by law

When Clinton/Gore where in office Al Gore's Wife made it so all cds with explicit content had to be maekred with this sticker.... i cant answer ur other questions

Trippin... the system is totally voluntary on the part of the RIAA. Look it up.

I dont know what it is, but when u think about it, it seems like a good idea, this way you dont have 5 year olds trying to buy brotha lynch and being influenced by his music. But at the same time, there is no way to enforce it, so it really doesnt matter. Youd think society would come up with an Age of Reason but not yet.

Actually, it was when Gore was gov of TN in about 88 or 89 when Tipper was crusading and got this shit passed.

Got what passed? Nothing became mandatory. Its all voluntary. Tipper and her cabinet had thier argument in court but it was shot down before a judge. That was before 88. It was like back in 85 or some shit when Dee Snyder and Frank Zappa and even John Denver were lobbying against the whole censorship thing.

And also, people forget to credit Luke of 2 Live Crew for being the first one to voluntarily place the sticker on thier album before the RIAA even started doing it.
