The other day tell me when to go was playin on the radio and after that some Pac came on,and I was thinking, "If Pac were still alive, being from the Bay,(or at least getting his start there) would this fool be thizz facing and riding scrapers,or would he keep his raps on the gangsta so cal style tip that he was doing before he passed?" or maybe he would just keep it like Too Short and give props to the younger Bay generation? All speculation homie but what do you think, speak on it

pac woulda probably got hyphy in his own way.

and honestly i think sooner or later he woulda stopped rapping. he woulda had so much cheese from movies and etc that making albums wouldnt have been so important.

thats hollywood.

honestly I think if pac was alive the hyphy movement would have still come around, but to fact i think the bay would have been brought to the light way sooner because of the things pac was bring'n to deathrow,if u watch his dvd tupac resurrection at the deathrow parties all u c is pac an hella bay area homiez in the crowd.
To answer the question tho I think pac would have supported the bay movement of hyphy but not be doin it cause he was all for revolution an thug life an he would maintain it by stayin himself an not doin what others were doin an being a follower,Not sayin people who do the hyphy stuff an go dumb are followers tho.
Pac luv'd the bay an luv'd LA an he brought those two power houses together when he was alive and mainstream media was scared because they had to know an did know that pac had every gangster luvin this west coast shit an he had it spreadin like a wild fire an bring'n luv hood to hood.

First off, its not about where hes from, were talkin bout a style of music that maybe he wouldve or not have adapted to. Now I dont think Pac would be doin this hyphy and thizz shit. Hed keep it serious in my opinion. Look at the people (e-40, Mac Dre, shit whoever else...) they was all goofy before this shit anyway. No disrespect cause I still bump some old 40 and Mac Dre, but all in all He might do a track or two, but no way would he have given completely into that shit.

This is a good thread real talk. You gotta look at bay area gangsta rappers, none of them went to hyphy music, I don't think pac would of. Hyphy is Bay area clubby/party rap. Before it was called hyphy it still exsisted. If "humpty dance" came out right now, or even "baby got back" it would be considered hyphy. Mob Figaz is directly under Mac Dre and most of the stuff i hear from them is far from hyphy. Most I could see Pac doing is something like that new too $hort song.

If Pac was collaborating with Bay niggahs consistently- he would be getting hyphy and wilding out. I could hella see this man going dumb though. Pac had hella aggression built up inside of him. I'm convinced from his personality and behavior- that he would be a hyphy ass dude. He would be 35 in June. He's damn near the same age as Mac Dre and E40 and both these rappers are the only ones in the Bay that have character. And 2pac had character. He may not entirely have his focus on making Hyphy tracks, but he will rep' for this movement hard. Imagine him on some traxx, rick rock, easki, lil jon, droope, sean t beats. siicck

if u look at pac back in the days..
he was a hyphy nigga..
and not hyphy as in grill stunnaz thizz face and shit like that
but hyphy as in hyper and not givin a fuck..
i think he would played a little part in the hyphy movement
as far as supporting it.. but i highly doubt 2pac
would pop a thizzle and ghost ride the whipp..

U COULD SEE PAC BLOWIN THE WHISTLE. I CANT SEE HIM DOIN THAT OR MAKIN A SONG LIKE THAT!
Nah not exactly like that, I mean how short still had his same stature, just everything going on around him in the song was hyphy. I could see Pac doing that, but with his own little twist to where it could be called hyphy, but wouldn't sound out of character of Pac. Second thought to make this more interesting. How would you feel if someone took his old masters and put some of his unreleased vocals on a hyphy beat?
