It's being reported that apparently Moss is being traded to the Vikings for a 3rd round pick. As a Vikings fan, I am ecstatic about this. I know there are some Vikings fans here and I was just curious to see what y'all thought, and thanks Minne for accepting the Brady deal in the Fantasy League, stupid can't drop list made it impossible for me to release him so I could hold onto Vick.

Dude.. what the fuck? Who trades their number 1 receiver for a third round pick 4 weeks into the season? Do they really think Brandon Tate can fill in for Randy fucking Moss? Wow..

the truth of the matter is that the Patriots receiving core is just to deep, too many targets for Brady to throw to and I think when they saw that they can win and distribute the ball without Moss as a factor that they could move on with out him and don't forget your getting a 3rd round pick for him, which gives you guys 6 picks within the first 3 rounds on top of that I've heard talk that their still looking to move Mankins which would mean at LEAST one more within those 3 rounds if not 2 more. The Patriots will be fine, next year especially, but even this year they still have a lot of talent on the offense to work with.

I agree for the most part but the thing is Moss may not be catching a lot of passes but hes always the focal point. He clears out coverage so Welker and Hernandez can get open. Our young guys look great but its going to hurt us this year loosing Moss.

Ill say this is a good move by the Pats if we end up getting Vincent Jackson for Mankins.. then were set for atleast 5 years.

wrong, we wanted moss but he was becoming a problem and like we do with ANY player that starts up some shit we kick them to the curb no matter how important they may seem to us. see we do have too many targets and we are playing a very even offense right now with all the players and moss dont want that, moss wants to be paid next season and in order to do that he needs to light up the field. when it becomes about your self over the team then its time to lose the player no matter the cost. we blow out a team game 1 and moss comes out bitching cause it wasnt just him blowing them out like it used to be, then we blow out another team showing just how unimportant just one man is for a team and i bet he was demanding a trade behind closed doors. glad we dont have him no more and our draft next year is gonna be beast, remember we got raiders #1.

ps. i think it would hurt us more by keeping him with they way he's been acting/playing. you can tell his heart aint in it with us anymore so it was time to get rid of him.

of coarse it may hurt us losing moss but ya never kniow, tate is looking better every game and he had some good catches against miami, imagine that dude running ful speed down the field to catch a deep ball... if he got hands which it seems he does he may be baptized by fire and instantly fill moss' shoes which will force teams to double him and if they dont they will pay kind of like what we did to rejuvenate moss career in 07.

From what you just said, they have a deep receiving core full of talent that they've been able to spread the ball out to, and they don't need him, so they get the value they can out of him by trading. I was wrong how?

Randy moss doesnt solve the vikes WR's dropping passes and running shitty routes. Randy moss doesnt solve the vikes linemen not doing their job and protecting Favre, forcing him to make bad decisions (INT's). Randy moss doesnt solve an aging QB that doesnt have that arm strength like he used to. Can he still make the long bomb? Count the number or pro bowl players on the team, its not Randy moss who is going to magically come in and solve their problems. We need a fucking coach. Childress is a joke, only has his job because Favre got him to the NFC championship last year. If Randy Moss doesnt do anything with the vikes, favre struggles still and the Vikes start losing game after game, Childress needs to be shown the door. Theres no excuse to not finish the season with a winning record and a playoff spot.

couldnt agree with you anymore but for a 3rd rounder why not give it a shot, we did that same thing back when we got him and it paid off for 3 years, then he realized his last year was up and would rather look good then play on a good team that way he can get paid. he even admits its not football but its his job and thats the only way he looks at the sport so i cant really hate considering hes keeping it real, it just sucks when players specially that are as good as moss start to feel that way.
