KC Rapper Accused Of Rape
Kendall Charged With Rape Of 10-Year-Old Girl
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City rap musician accused of raping a 10-year-old girl was taken into custody Sunday.
Tyrone Kendall was charged with one count of statutory rape and two counts of statutory sodomy. He is being held on a $200,000 bond.
Kendall is considered a celebrity on 76th and Monroe streets. His rap group, The 57th Street Rogue Dog, is popular in the rap community. Kendall's notoriety among the children in the neighborhood makes the charges against him even worse, the girl's mother said.
"Kids look up to him," Delores Cage said. "They want his autograph and then to do something like that, it's sick."
