Sacramento Rapper's Sister Beaten to Death - 9/16/2003
Sacramento County coroners have identified 29-year-old Mann as the Elk Grove woman fatally beaten inside her home Friday night -- apparently by the boyfriend, according to police. Michelle Mann, sister to Sacramento rapper Brotha Lynch Hung was brutally murdered by an angry boyfriend.
Sacramento County sheriff's deputies said Kenneth Hoze, 26, has been identified as a suspect in the case.
Police said the suspect was seen fleeing the house shortly after the altercation in a white 1992 four-door Infiniti. Police said Hoze lived at the residence with Mann, her four sons, ages 6 to 12, and her mother.
Sgt. Lou Fatur said Mann's oldest son told officers he heard a fight and his mother crying for help. Police report Mann was found by her son and her mother in a back bedroom covered in blood. The woman had sustained serious head injuries and later died at UC Davis Medical Center.
