Bernie Mac Dies at 50

Comedian Bernie Mac died this morning in Chicago after a long hospitalization from pneumonia.

Mac, whose real name is Bernard McCullough, passed away early this morning at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was 50 years old.

His rep just issued the following statement to TMZ: "Actor/ comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital. No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family's privacy continues to be respected."

Just a few days ago, Mac's condition was characterized as "stable"; Bernie had been in the hospital for a week.

It just saw this story on the news and couldn't believe it. I knew he had some issues with pneumonia during the last few seasons of his show but I thought he got better? Bernie Mac was my favorite on the Kings of Comedy tour and his show was funny as hell. I remember watching Def Comedy and seeing him back in the day and just laughing my ass off to his ol skool dirty crazy shit.

How's it fake? They just had Steve Harvey on the phone on CNN just a minute ago talking about what a shock it is to loose his friend.


I know there's a lot of B S that gets posted on this board but this isn't it. Don't belive me just turn on any cable news channel or check CNN.com its on there home page

damn i googled it like 2 days ago and it said it was fake.....well........ i stand corrected

they must have knew he was close to the end and started reporting he was dead earlier than when he actually passed

Fuck this sucks... All my regular TV stars i watched growing up are dying. George Carlin on Thomas the Train, Bernie Mac... Next your gonna tell me Bart had a seizure.
