the bay feasted off some samples in the mid n early 90s. Some of the classics were made possible by some samples... but that was the thing to do back then on the west

Hip Hop is based on sampling and yes your right. Classic hits were sample based until the white man came in and started to sue artists. Now people who sample are only the artists than can afford to pay for clearance of samples. Also DJ Fresh be doin all that sampling.
