Things have been getting pretty "hot" lately as far as music and movie downloads go. I stopped downloading movies cause torrent sites like torrentspy.com are no more for US visitors and was being tracked before they banned us. Everyone else is still being tracked. See the link below.http://torrentfreak.com/mpaa-not-done-with-torrentspy-yet-071012/ and allot of the remaining torrent sites are being tracked with hidden malware inside the torrent files to track your IP. I used to not trip when I read shit about the FEDS busting down peoples doors and slapping them with huge fines for illegally downloading music or movies but they seem to be really cracking the whip lately. The last article I read was posted on the siccness about the lady who got busted for just 24 songs 24!! lol wow. I remember when the RIAA was busting people who had the biggest number of music downloads. The other thing I saw as far as torrent sites go is how they are putting out fake torrent files in common names like KORN or even NELLY or 2PAC albums so when you download it they have your ip tracked because you’re using a public tracker when you download the torrent. Even private trackers are not always safe as your seeding from many different sources. I stopped using limewire too because people have been getting busted left and right using this as well as shareaza. It seems you can’t find a decent way to steel good music anymore lol. Don’t get me wrong I still buy music but im just keeping it real. Im not going to buy a cd with 2 good tracks on it.

Use PRIVATE Torrent sites only. Public sites are too risky. If you use Private, invite only sites for Movies, there is no possible way you can get busted.

The one fucking time I used a Public site for a movie was a couple weeks ago, it was stupid and I should have known better but someone asked me to get them Kindergarten Cop for their child and I get an email from comcast saying I downloaded an illegally shared file. Aint shit going to happen it was just a warning but it just goes to show - DO NOT USE PUBLIC TORRENT SITES

BTW, they really want to get UPLOADERS more than DOWNLOADERS.

WHy arrest the junkie when you can arrest the dealer?

I agree with you, Im almost 27 so im not a newbie. I been on the scene since the napster days. I see they are going after the uploaders now. I use to use ITRC and still sometimes use DC++ up on DAQUIRRI FACTORY. I know some of my fellow siccness members know me up on there but I get that same shit from comcast with the warnings and shit. I guess with a baby on the way you start thinkin about your future more and more you know. Like is this shit really worth time in the pen and payin out money for when you got more important shit on the way that is going to require your time and money. Dont get me wrong I love this music shit but man at what price now a days is it costing people? $220,200 for 24songs? i mean shit come on. I appreciate all the opinions but is there really a "safe" way to download. I think the only safe secure way is to not do it. Am I wrong? Shit is just not the same anymore to me. 2 or 3 years ago the RIAA wasnt as bad as it seems to be now at cracking down on this shit.

packetnews.com + mirc = u will never get busted

also download from known torrent sites..such as piratebay and sumo...

packetnews sucks man, I lost count how many virus's that site gave my comp. Thank god for nod32 it removed all of them. I use to love packetnews till they kept gettin malware and virus's not to mention the amount of pop ups they have. I have to use like 20 pop up blockers each time I visit. And whats up with the cursor in the search bar. You have to hold down the left mouse button just to type in anything.
