I like plugins such as:

WAVES (L3 Maximizer/Ultramaximizer,..)
VOXENGO (Elephant, CurveEQ, GlissEQ,..)
URS (EQ Bundle)
SONALKSIS (SV-315MK2 Comp, SV-512MK2 EQ,..)
MACKIE "FINAL MIX"
YAMAHA "FINAL MASTER"
PSP "VINTAGE WARMER"
BBE "SONIC MAXIMIZER"
ROGER NICHOLS
There's also some freeware plugins that I like such as by "Kjaerhus" and "Antress."

Check out kvraudio.com for descriptions on these and ALOT more plugins. I believe Wavelab does load VST plugins so your good to go.

BTW, "SoundForge" and "Audition" are other good substitutes to Wavelab as far as wave editors go. I personally like Audition.

These are not in any order of preference

Sadie
Ozone
Sound Forge 8
Waves L3 and L2 (and the C4)
T-Racks
Ozone
Samplitube v8
McDSP plugs

If it were myself, I wouldn't even worry about trying to master my own music, and I most definately would not use software to do it. I'd use a combination of software and hardware or go all hardware. However, if money is not an option, go for a Sadie system, but something like that is actually defeating the purpose if your room is subject to a shitload of dips and room modes.

True what's the point of mastering your own $hit if you probably don't even have all the equipment or rooms to do it in or skill for that matter. I personally just do it more as a "Mix Enhancement" to bring out and phatten up my $hit for my own personal enjoyment. But if I was going to REALLY master my shit, I would go with a pro and let the engineer do their thing.
