OPINION ON KHEVLAR

Since everyone else is just str8 hatin.......
Voice/Presence: I think dude sounds too much like Fred Durst. Thats not hating, and thats not dissing him--he's doing it on his OWN. Copying, Mimicing, whatever you want to call it, he's trying to be Fred Durst, Jr. And i cant feel that....
Lyrics/Delivery: Average, if not above-average....+ points for at least TRYING to elevate his game to the next level...
Subject Matter: Little bit too cliche for my own tastes

Thats' how i'd put it,except the delivery part.........his delivery is off beat as hell,man.....but his music isn't quality,thats' for sure...........not worth the 16.00 bucks or whatever ya'll fittin' to charge for his c.d.....that would be my opinion EVEN IF he never said shit to me.....i don't feel it,it's pretty weak in my eyes...

Once you say 'shitty', you go into the realm of 1) hating, 2) not knowing SHIT about hip-hop (in this case, the composition of verses)--The shit isnt easy, and not too many people can do it consistantly.
The only thing i chalk off points for on Khevlar is the way he PURPOSELY contorts his voice and moans, a la Fred Durst. The lyrics are "there", so to speak, but the delivery is an imitation. Once he changes that, the lyrics also will change, and become more concrete....or maybe im the only optimist in the house? The glass is half-full, mofuckaz!!
