ROOKIE OF THE WEEK !

Voters on NFL.com and via Sprint wireless service have made their choice. Linebacker Patrick Willis of the San Francisco 49ers is the NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on December 20 - 24.

Willis recorded 20 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defensed in the 49ers’ 21 – 19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Willis was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com and via Sprint wireless service. The other finalists were wide receiver Dwayne Bowe of the Kansas City Chiefs, running back Ahmad Bradshaw of the New York Giants, running back Marshawn Lynch of the Buffalo Bills and safety Chinedum Ndukwe of the Cincinnati Bengals.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com and via Sprint wireless service throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLII in Arizona.

IMO Willis was more important to the Niners then Peterson was to the Vikings... Chester Taylor is a good running back.. and they're basically the same team with either back in the game.
Willis is important to his team but he's important to a 5-11 team. Peterson is important to his team but his team is 8-8 and almost made the playoffs.

The odds are against Willis.

Yea but you take Willis out the game and it's completely different then taking Peterson out the game... Without Willis he have who at ILB? Ulbrich? hah... take out Peterson and they still have a running back that hit over 1400 yards if im not mistaken last year...

We are talking about patrick and AP when they are active/ingame.
