BUY THAT FUCKING MOVIE! it's one of my all time favorite movies ever.. if you can get past it being a foreign movie.. and u loved movies like Battle Royal, Versus, Ring or whatever.. you'll love this movie..
Even if you're not into that stuff, give it a try.. It's really a fucked up movie. I gotta get the US version, i have like 3 different DVD's of the movie, cuz i was tryin to find a good quality version and a couple skipped, since i was getting it overseas..

yeah, theres been talks about it being remade.. and Nic Cage, being lead.. but its hard to believe he can pull it off after watching the original..
The actor for the lead of the original, Choi Min Sik.. is amazing. Here's the description of the movie:
"Imagine this . . . it’s your daughter’s third birthday today. After buying her a birthday gift, you are grabbed and knocked out by several men. When you wake, you find yourself in a room with four walls, decorated to look like a cheap motel with nothing but a bed, a desk and drawer, some pads to write on, a mirror on the wall, and a TV set to keep you company. Incarcerated against your will, there is no one to talk to, no one to hear you, no one to ask why – no judge, no jury, no executioner. At first, you can only pray that they will let you out in a few weeks, but the weeks become months and the months soon become years. Eventually, you look in the mirror and see that your youth has been spent in your cell, imprisoned without any rhyme or reason. What did you do wrong? Who did you piss off? Why did you get incarcerated? No one to hear you cry and no one to hear you pray except a television set . . . That is exactly what happened to Oh Daesu (Choi Min Sik).
