DJ Hyphy
Bay Area Hip Hop History 101
Rap Singles (1981–1990) — CD
(HYP-002)

Bay Area Hip-Hop History 101 is the first CD in the new limited ediiton, 100 volume "Bay Area Hip-Hop History" mix-CD series. This opening volume, mixed by DJ Hyphy, captures the Yay way back in the day, from the very first Bay Area hip-hop single by Motorcycle Mike in 1981 (#19) on through the rest of the decade: back when hip-hop (particularly Bay Area) was still in its infancy. Back when Oakland was still in the "415" area-code and when every Bay Area "rap" record gave much love to the DJ, and when there was no discrimination between "hip-hop" and "rap."

shit that playlist you linked ld-ski is a different version to Motorcycle Mike! Better than the one on my 45. Not much point d/ling this link. It's 160 mb, and its the only rap song on it.
You don't have to download the whole thing. It's for streaming. when you click on the mp3-link it just opens up in your winamp. And you don't have to listen to the whole show. If you choose the link at Motorcycle Mike, the stream of the radio show begins where the song starts.

Is it the 45 a 7" you got of that song? Thanks for the MP3!

Cool! I received the IMP 12" with Gangster RockNRoll & Rollin this week and I ordered a copy of Motorcycle Mike's Super Rat 45 (which is a 7" I think). The legendary wax is on it's way to me too!
