I never even heard of "The Green CD". What the fuck? When did you put that out D-sane? The 4-Track Sessions is fuckin' heat, though........
The "green CD" was the very first CD we ever massed produced. That was in mid 1997 or so. There were only like 50-60 copies ever made and it was sold around the northend of Seattle. It had a map of the Northside on it and it said "Keep it Real Records" on it because that's what we were gonna call the label for awhile before I decided to go back to using Street Level. I had originally came up with Street Level in 1994 but had decided to abandon it because I thought it was an old idea and wanted to come up with something better. Luckily for me a few other people came up with Keep it Real Records and I decided at the last minute (during the recording of the first actual FTS album) to roll with SLR. I'm glad I did now.
The "green CD" as it is called because all of the CDR's were hella green on the burn side have a few songs on it that can't be found on the 4-Track Sessions. They weren't anything special. I went through all of our 4-track masters and found all the best songs that ya'll had never heard before along with a few that were on the green CD and put them on the "4-Track Sessions." There are actually like 10+ songs that I have that didn't make the cut.....mostly because they were BD solo tracks. There was some nice beats on them though!
*HISTORICAL FACT* The song "Smokin' on the Creeper" from the 4-Track Sessions is actually the OG version of "Let's Get High." When Smoke departed from FTS for a minute (that's why he wasn't on the first album....same with Brazy J) we decided to use the beat for the FTS album instead.
