For those who aint seen it

A little background...I was watching the movie misery and it was tripping me out...I had seen it before but not really in detail...And theres a line in the movie where the chick is like "a toast to misery.." and i got to thinking about how it is to toast to being unhappy. I guess its what drug addicts do all the time.

So i decided to draw something but i started taking pictures as it progressed...and here ya go

materials was ball point pen, a few highlighters from work and a stick of charcoal..nothin crucial

(still not done, maybe about 5-6 more hrs...but thats what it looks like now)

yeah, I thought I seen the character before on your myspace or someshit.....I know hella artists be using certain characters recurring and shit....that shits clean tho.....you ever try making a comic out of your character? I mean, not a whole strip or anything, but like a few frames with different pictures so it tells a short story.....could be just a trip to the store or a trip off some shit

alot of things ive done have similar themes...like drug use or unhappiness or violence for instance..i was thinking about after getting to a certain point maybe like 30 drawings with the same theme, collaging all those similar theses together, making a border and framing them..in a way that should tell a story about the topic at hand

the only wack thing about comic strips is i sorta feel like i gotta work at the story just as hard...kinda like some boondocks shit..its gotta be witty and nice looking...it gets overwhelming sometimes, like in the process of drawing this shit i just wanted to tear it up...not because i didnt like it, just because its tedious work..and much harder as a one man army...

but to be real with you i was thinking about doing them youtube type things with simplistic drawings..you know the ones makin fun of cam and shit lol

but its possible, man..i wanna stay busy...people laugh at shit i say on siccness enough i might as well combine the two

^I could hella see you making a weezy f baby (please say the baby) one

as far as your art go, you can always go back to it.....you don't have to finish it when you sit down to start it.......and as far a strip goes you could always follow a story that you previously made up or something that happened to you.....or hell, even a trip off of salvia (I was just reading that thread) since you say its the devil, I'm sure you can some up with some outrageous ass drawings from that

yeah, i know i wont be doing the same thing forever...alot of people ask me why i dont do certain things like graphic work and tattoos and hella canvasses and stickers and its just not something that motivates me yet..as time passes i see myself doing more but right now im just trying to knock this phase of my art career out

like im doing designs for watches for this cat in ny...its not something that even interests me, i have to make myself want to.

id much rather sit somewhere with a beer and just draw with no plan..
seems like the premeditation of something just ruins it for me and im more of a freestyle type...

i was never the type to go to a wall with a piece of paper or like..draw in pencil first
i need to not have a job..haha

then i could do all that shit yknow
alot of times i feel like theres not enough hours in a day to do everything....so i pick a few things and go hard at them

a comic strip would prolly consume my life haha

imma try ya idea tho next time around i just know how meticulous i am...

you're creative enough to just have a character and figure out the frames as you go.....that might be something that inspires you more, cuz then its still freestyle....I just wish I was more artistic, I mean I'm hella visual, I could create hella intricate stories with hella details but when it comes to actually making the drawings my shit would make stick figure artists look like van gough
