I think 40 has gotten to the point hwre the mob music and his old style is a thing of the past..just like snoop going from gangsta to a pimp..but dont get me wrong 40 is a boss and always has been but I think he is trying to "Slow down his spit so these squares will understand it"

hes not hating, he prefers his old music then his new music. you can call it hate if that makes you feel better but its taste to me. if he owns a e-40 then its not hate. and i feel the same way he used to be way tighter the way he rhymed why do you think he used to be on everyones songs all across the country. now he is just in the bay mostly except with the lil jon business he got going on. still waiting for them pac songs to surface up someday. forty know he got some gold sitting on his shelf.

^^^^^then you should hear some of the shit i hear from some east coats and southern cats in the navy.
I feel you on the east coast hate but everybody I know from the south love them some 40 water. And I don't know what yall are talkin bout but I think 40 new shit is dope. You got to take it for what it's worth. Stop expecting 40 to drop some outdated, mobbed out, '95ish albums. I mean, as much as I miss that sound, IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN. So while yall bitch and moan about it I will continue to enjoy his albums. He has yet to disappoint me yet. And I can only say that for a few artists.

His older stuff was the best. Anybody that says otherwise was never a fan of his older stuff. His older shit outsold his new shit. It's not an outdated sound, only reason ya'll say it's outdated is cause he don't do it anymore. If 40 released another album with the production quality of In A Major Way, with the same mobb sound he'd find alot of his old fan. Short fell into the same trap - he started fucking with the south more, and his album sales have been declining. Short used to be a lock to go gold, and now he isn't. CHange the sound, lose the fans that got you where you are.

Me? I'll always buy the new e-40 shit...but I don't play these new albums over and over like I do the timeless mob albums... This new sound is some club shit, I don't want to dance when I'm ridin.
