LMAO! I'm hella late this this thread. That title cracked me up, but in all seriousness it's mockery of those who are suffering with the virus. It's not funny when you look at it from that angle. That's as bad as titling an album, "I Have Cancer" and making a mockery of it.
West Coast rap / Bay area to be identified with Lil B as a representative? Is it bad? Yes, I guess we can lean towards that. He's making a mockery of serious issues and lifestyles. Then again, it's no different than the whole hyphy movement where the mentally disabled were made a mockery of.
I think if we look at the big picture, the West Coast has been laughed at by the rest of the world long before Lil B came into the picture. We can view it as the Bay has been a trend setter to some slang words etc. in the game, but when the world didn't take in the hypy movement, meant the world shook their head at that & left it alone.
A rapper on youtube smoking weed, getting drunk, with bitches etc. can be viewed as nothing more than a tattooed, wannabe, pill popping, alcoholic, swap meet, fake bling wearing, money & gun flashing rapper who does all of the above to fit the stereotype & simply be accepted.
I'm not defending Lil B, but I am saying that if we're going to play the blame game, we need to look at where it all started to go off track.
