I don't know I gave it a good listen and I'm really liking this CD...its nothing like "In A Major Way", but it's a cool cd....I'm really feeling that track with the Mossie on it....some of the hooks I thought were kinda corny...but 40 keeps it tight with the lyrics once more...so I give the cd about a 6.5 out of 10.

I bet all the squares that weren't feeling the album ... ... ... will be after about 20 listens when they finally figure out what 40 was saying. lol

Actually though, I bet the album grows on most of you guys that claimed you weren't feelin' it. E-40 is always way ahead of his time..... this is just another case of it

Pimp I think in this case it really is the production that has me sighing. I dont think its a bad CD by any means but I dont see myself popping it into my CD player more than once a week. There's just so much other stuff I'd rather listen to. And i dont fall into one of those squares who's behind in his music. E-40 comes right on my advanced skill level music-wise... listen to everything and i think in this case, my ears just aint liking the overall package.
Some tracks are hot though.

this new e40 is knockin. all the tracks with turf talk are knockin. but i still think HYPHEE is better than everything on this cd! 40 bringin the bay to the mainstream real big. this one goes out to the big breezies! and for everybody talkin about its nothin compared to in a major way, you gonna keep comparing 40's albums like that for years. times changed. almost 10 years have passed. listen to some new shit already.

album is aight. but it was not better than "charlie hustle" and his past albums. the lyrics are coo, but i couldn't feel all the beats. there were only a couple songs worth bumpin on this CD to me. hopefully his next album will be better, and turf talks album will have better beats.
i was feelin the new yuk alot more.

Someone on this post (or maybe another post) related to BREAKIN' NEWS said that it was the kind of CD that you had to let "grow on you", and that when you least expected it, it would "seep into your system." Can't remember exactly who said that (maybe it was Pimperoni).

Well, whoever said it--they're right. I played 40's new one for the third time last night, and I find myself liking it more--songs that irritated me at first ("Hot", "I Hope U Get This Kite") sound good to me now, although I still can't get with "Show & Prove", and "Wa La" is a little idiosyncratic...I'm beginning to like 40 lyrically more on here than I did on GRIT & GRIND...go figure. What's going on?

PEACE!
