Could I make it in Dreamweaver and then incorporate it into the div overlay code?

I've always done them in notepad. Make adjustments, copy and paste and go from there is always my process.

See I want to do that but I don't know how to make slices on jpegs without Dreamweaver.

Ahh shit you really don't have to slice anything if you don't want. What I do is do the whole layout as a giant image exactly how you want it like making custom tables etc. From there the divs sit on top of the graphic, you can put text, other pics and all that shit anywhere you want really.

Yup, the majority is editing, resizing divs, changing text colors and tedious shit like that. Sometimes figuring out what properties affect what part of the page.

In photoshop open a large document like 1024x768 or longer. Make exactly what you want to see. Borders, glows, titles, tables everything minus scrollbars and myspace banners ( obvious stuff. ) After that you apply the code, ill toss up some recommendations when you get there.

make the backround layout first...it also depends on if u have a regular page or a music page, so dont forget to make space for the player
