what record label was the first gang stories release uncencosed cd realesed on?

here are pics of the two. the one on dogday and on other.







anyone got any info on the cd.? when it might been pressed or someting>

THE TOP WAS PROLLY PRESSED BY SOMEONE ELSE AFTER DOGDAY STOPED, I GOT THE ORIGINAL G.U.N LIKE THAT IT HAS THE ORIGINAL CASE BUT THE CD LOOKS BOOTLEG, IVE SEEN CUETE LIKE THAT TOO

How does the G.U.N. look? Any way like I said, the top 1 is the OG. I remember it was a limited release, & then it got re-released under doggay.

THE ORIGINAL G.U.N. CD IS WHITE WITH A BIG RED STAR AND IT SEZ NORTH STAR RECORDS ON IT, THE REPRESS I GOT LOOKS THE SAME BUT ITS NOT IN COLOR IT LOOKS LIKE THE FIRST GANG STORIES PIC YOU POSTED, IM PRETTY SURE THE ONE IN THE SECOND PIC IS THE O.G. ONE CUZ I GOT THAT CD WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT BACK IN '99 AND THATS WHAT MINE LOOKED LIKE

The original GUN CD is white? I never saw that 1, except for a bootleg 1. The top 1 looks like the OG I had, except for the cover. Is that the cover that came with the CD? I'm positive mine was OG, because it came out before it was released on doggay.

Once again, the CD I got came out before doggay released it! Even tho DRF was on doggay at the time, they still released this 1 by themselves. Ok, I think I might have found a way to provide proof. Notice the ad's on the back cover of the 1 I posted? If the ad's on the re-release say the 1's that weren't released on this back cover were released, then that should tell you something.

OK. the first picture of the cd the insert is for the rereleased dogday cd. The original cd that i have of gang stories i dont have the case or booklet. But the piocture of the first cd rudod you posted that looks OG, that should be the insert for the cd i have.

THE ONE WITH THE AD'S ON THE BACK IS A DOGDAY RELEASE. THE OTHER IS A DRF RELEASE. MINE HAS A WHITE COVER ON THE BACK BUT IS SIGNED BY SIR DYNO, DUKE & CROOKED WITH A LIMITED EDITION NUMBER. ONLY 2000 PRESSED. DRF RE-RELEASED IT ON THEIR OWN.

Are you saying mine is a doggay release? Mine says dogday no where on it, & it came out before I saw it released on doggay. EMP650 already said the back of his front cover was the 1 from doggay, & that it didn't belong to the CD he posted up top. Is your's another another re-release, cd-r or what?

I DONT REALLY REMEMBER IF ITS WHITE OR SILVER, I MIGHT BE GETTING IT MIXED UP WITH CUETE BUT THE STAR WAS RED I REMEMBER THAT. MY GANG STORIES CAME WITH THE CASE THATS IN THE PICS YOU POSTED BUT I DONT REMEMBER THE CDS SAYIN COMING SOON ON THEM AND THE ACTUAL CD WAS THE ONE ON THE BOTTOM IN THE PIC EMP POSTED

Yeah who knows, they re-released shit all the time for like 10 years. There are like 6 different From the Barrio With Love cd's (and I remember they even had a tape of that same release).

All the GUN CD's I've seen are silver, with a red star. I know it came out on Cinco de Mayo, 1998 & I didn't see it until after. I think the first 1 I bought had a red cd holder & no barcode. I ended up buying another 1, with a red cd holder & it had a bar code. I've seen some with a black cd holder & no bar code. I remember someone claiming that the OG CD had a black star, but I've also heard people say some of the 1's I mentioned were OG.

The Cuete CD is white, with a red N.
