Only 19 yards away, then Wade better sit him. Damn, half the workload and hes gonna hit a 1000. Besides the yards just the way he runs gets the rest of the team hyped up. Boy is gonna be a free agent(restricted) next year too. I wonder what kinda offers he will get. Cowboys will probably match any offer but if they dont they will get a first round pick.

Its the NFL teams need 2 running backs that offer different styles. Julius Jones is a good match to Barber, and Barber is better when he has like 16 carries, hes not an everydown back. You'll wear him out like the Saints and Dolphins did to ricky williams. Don't overkill your running back. whose the Cowboys 3d rb?

thye pats should trade our 1st rounder, lawrence maroney and maybe kevin faulk for him. thats usually what we do though, find someone who whooped or team in some way and try and get him. that would be a sick combo, sam morris and marion barber. well thats what i'd try to do

1000 means alot when u are a backup who splits time!! And he is averaging 5.0 yards a carry!! If u are an everydown back then 1000 yards dont mean shit, but in barber's case its bomb!! And I think he can be a everydown back!! We may see that next year depending on if we let Jones leave or not!! Got Em!!!

Uhhhh...you do realize he SPILTS time in the backfield, right? 1000 yards for someone who shares his carries with another HB is pretty fuckin good if you ask me.

Julius Jones:

156 carries for 581 YDS and 2 TD's (3.7 YPC)

Marion Barber:

198 carries for 981 YDS and 10 TD's (5.0 YPC)

if he became an every down back then he would have to change his way of playin IMO, dont get me wrong i love the way he runs but he cant do that all year by himself or else he would prolly get injured, there are times when u just gotta lay down so u can up for another play. him running like that hopefully is cuz he wants a starting job but if he gets it he should know when to go outta bounds. but if he still runs like that and doesnt get injured then HOLYSHIT, he would be one of the best next year easily

Yeah I do realize he splits carriers and isn't an every down back..but he's gotten the majority of the carriers...and again 1000 yards shouldn't be the measuring stick that it used to be. Fuck look at Steven Jackson of the Rams...dude was hurt most of the season and he's only 60 yards away from getting a 1000 for the year....so that right there should show you how 1000 yards rushing shouldn't be the point where you say that a running back had a successful year. Fuck even Thomas Jones of the Jets got a 1000 yards and he splits carriers with Leon Washington.

Youre still missing the point here.

You have to look at his stats as contrast, not in context.

Sure, 1000 yards aint shit for a STARTING RB that runs 80% of the time.

Marion is a back SPLITTING time with another RB, and is nearing 1000 yards for the season.

lol. julius is still god and it's better to have 2 fresh legs instead of one. no offense but ur running game wouldnt be as good if u didnt have a 2headed monster. thats the new thing ppl picked up on. 2 headed monster rb's. even the patriots got one this year but one is out for the season but there both starting quality backs and u can always have a rush threat with 2 good backs
