No land line needed, I love nfl tocket, but am not getting again this year because of some very very very bad experoiences with DTV this past 10 months. Once my current contract ends I will be leaving them....again nothing against sunday ticket though love it, and had it for the past 7 seasons.

naw, i haven't had a land line in years..the only thing is you cannot order ppv through remote, have to do it online, or you don't get any updates for dvr and shit like that

lol

now let me be a little fair though....never ever ever had probems with them until past 10 months! In fact when people would bash thier cust service I stood up for dtv in posts...but no more!

So as long as you dont get faulty equipment or have to deal with them outside of ordering and billing your are fine......lol

I have DTV and I agree…their customer service sucks monkey balls!

They have tried to screw me over in the past too. When they upgraded their HD channels…my old receiver couldn’t play them cause apparently they were broadcast in a different format. When I told them I couldn’t see all of the new HD channels they said I needed to upgrade my receiver and dish. The receiver alone would be $100…I don’t remember how much for the new dish.

I basically said Fuck You and it’s not my fault you assholes decided to broadcast HD in this new format. I had to talk to multiple “managers” and threaten to drop them if they didn’t give me a new receiver and dish for free. They finally agreed to do it.

The only reason I have even have them is for the Sunday Ticket. But I have to keep them or I can’t watch my Browns games!

Dayum, my wife (soon to be ex-wife) must be good then. She would call DTV CS and be like comcast is at the door and we are switching with them unless you give us a reason not to, and they would give out free showtime, hbo, and other movie channels available. Oh ya, and NFL Ticket is tight, go Titans (from Utah), LOL.

i was behind a payment and i owed them $300 and they cut my shit off they were like give us what u owe or $400 if u dont want to be a customer anymore so they sent me to collections to get their money i was like cool u want to go through them fine but ill give u what i owe u and stay cause i got it when nfl ticket started and this was when it was over. so i did that check over the phone shit but the fuckin creditors fucked up the account number and it never went through so they wanted to charge me $400 cause i didnt pay but i talked to customer service and they where like u didnt pay and i tried to tell them that i called the creditors and they said whoever took care of it didnt put the right account number so neither wanted to call eachother so i told them it wasnt my fault that they sent me to collections when i said i would pay them and the creditors they chose didnt know how to put in numbers right so ill pay when i feel like it. sorry for the long story had to vent and fuck directv!!!!

I've had the Sunday Ticket and Direct TV installed at my crib since 2001. I love it and have never had any problems with either Direct TV or the package.

had directv for like 4 years, swtiched to comcast (sucks fat wang) and been back with directv the last 3. Directv > Comast all day every day. Customer service is only as good as the person talkin to them. if you cant explain shit in a polite understanding manner to the person on the phone you wont get there 100% effort. ive called many times for my activation for a new box, new packages, etc. and they are really easy to understand and help you get the right package for the price you wanna pay. go buy the hd-dvr at best buy and you get to keep it and if it fucks up you just bring it back to best buy and get it fixed/replaced. comcast you gotta rent their dvr's and hd equipment with monthly rates. comcast is always pixelated with big ass pixel squares. directv isnt the best in storms, but comcast isnt much better. directv got a shit load more hd channels then comcast. comcast has on demand but directv has on demand beta going on right now. all you need to do is hook you satelite receiver (box) to a internet ready ethernet wire and itll work. eventually that should be just as good or better then comcast on demand.

nfl network is cool but i dont like payin for it becuase you will only use it for the sunday morning and noon games. sunday night and monday night and even thursday night you can get from regulrar channels. so if you feel like ~$180 is good enough to watch different games that are sunday morning or noon then yeah id say go for it. for me with the 49ers, there is no need and the internet you can see games detailed with play by play thru java scripts.

I've been with DTV for 8 years and never had a problem with them, but that doesn't mean they can't be on some bullshit with scary, which I'm sure stems from him being a donkeys fan...

I'd love to order it, but with my work schedule, I'd probably miss 85% of the fucking games.

sunday ticket is where its at!! we always have a house full of muthafuckas who got money on the game, fantasy football squads, ect, with the HD, or split screen on the big screen...the red zone channel is the shit for that. you can even program in your fantasy football squad and it keeps track of your stats on the ticker. dtv is kinda shitty though, if dish net had the package they would be shittin on dtv, the got way more hd channels. but i get dish net for free anyways with the bootleg FTA box
