With all the movie references Tech makes in his lyrics this might not be as off topic as I had originally thought...

I've recently gotten back into movies. I don't know what it was, after buying at least 3-4 dvd's a week ever since I got a PS2 (my first dvd player), and amassing what I can only describe as either an impressive, or embarrassing collection of dvds, I just fell off.

::shrug::

So while looking around for some new flicks to look forward to, I came across some interesting trailers that you guys might want to take a look at.

I've been checking out some interesting trailers and I'll post anything that looks good to me. Post up anything you've seen recently that looks good.

I should mention that this movie has Eli Roth's name all over it, but he just fuckin' produced the thing, so I wouldn't get too excited about that. Also, Eli Roth is kind of a fag IMO.

I'll start with one for now, and as the post gets older I'll edit the shit so that it's just links. I hate when people post 100 youtube vids on one page since it slows the shit out of some computers.

I'm hoping we can stay away from trailers that are all over TV.

Re: Super 8... I caught wind of that because some NY movie paper reported that it was a Cloverfield sequel. Probably because it's a JJ Abrams flick. Turns out it's a child/alien flick. I say boo.

I'm not a fan of high budget explosion flicks really... Most of the shit I post is going to be at least slightly obscure, though I'm sure that trailer is going to get a lot of play in theaters and a good bit on tv. I'm a sucker for anything with a "reality" twist to it.

I think it pretty much goes without saying, but if you haven't seen Inception yet, GO SEE IT. It deserves to be seen in a theater.

Other than that, I haven't really seen anything "Coming Soon" that really piques my interest. One I saw recently that really tripped me out was Crank 2: High Voltage. Sure, it came out a year ago, but the shit was so over-the-top, it deserves my recommendation.

I'll try to keep in mind that you enjoy the shittiest movies ever made.

RE: Mortal Kombat

That "trailer" that you're watching isn't going to be a movie. It's just a teaser the director made so he could sell execs on the fact that he can make a decent movie. So while there is going to be a new MK movie, it won't be based on that trailer.

Awesome thread Zero, nothing to contribute now but definitely interested in what you guys post. I remember I saw the first trailer for Book of Eli a few years back on TRT9 and it looked amazing. Just saw the movie last night actually and it lived up.

I don't mind subtitles depending on the movie. It's easier to watch Japanese/Korean flicks with subtitles because they talk slower and there's usually less action during the dialogue scenes.

Best Worst Movie has been around for over two years now, and I just caught wind of it. You can see it online by now, I'm sure. This is they type of shit I'm really into. I love doc's, especially doc's based on failed film making... lol. On that note, I'm sure most of you have seen "Overnight", the story about Troy Duffy and how he's a douchebag, and also some flick about The Count of Monte Cristo(sp)... and what a horrible time they had trying to make that movie. Both are available on streaming Netfrix.
