The album was solid but didn't blow me away. A few choices on this album were a little strange. For example, not having the opening verse on your own album, the RZA "feature" being only 1 line, the Alchemist beat being less than 1 minute long, only 2 solo songs (3 counting "Uncle Al"), random shitty instrumental track thrown in the middle of the album. I mean, it's a 44 minute album and he's only spitting for probably 15 minutes total.

That being said, I liked the album. 7/10
Sounds unconventional so I'll probably like it a lot lol.

Reading the wiki production credits sound like he played a roll in and/or produced quite a few of the songs so that was probably the "random shitty instrumental track thrown in the middle of the album." was about I'm guessing.

I lived boarded my first impressions as I listened to the album in the long thread last night so here they are..

Wonder who produced Pre, doesn't have any credits on wiki. SK and Earl came nice, fucking with this song. Already know I like Burgundy so kinda waiting on 20 Wave Caps to start.
Man, I've only heard the preview but Samiyam's beat on this song is so nasty. That dude is on some other shit. Domo continues his streak of solid rhymes in my opinion. He might have lightweight outshined Earl on that song.

Kind of bummed I've heard the next three songs already including two of them a lot of times. Really digging Sunday even more this time through though.
Really digging the flow of the album through Hive which is about to end right now. "Ride dirty as the fucking sky that you praying to" might be one of my favorite lines this year.
This beat on Sasquatch sounds almost on some old Wu shit (S/O Iller) like Rusty did. Tyler's verse was cool but goddamn Earl spittin' on it.
Oh for real Vince just gonna go and try to have the two best verses on the whole album huh? I see you Vince, I see you.
Holy shit never mind.
Yeah gonna listen to Centurion again before moving on.
Centurion is fucking nuts lol wtf.
Yeah this instrumental from Earl is kind like pointless. It's actually not too bad in my opinion. Kinda free jazz inspired I think but yeah also fucked up the flow of the album.
Oh man Uncle Al was some shit. Alchemist is a fool for that beat. Early did it justice though.
Hmmm this version of Guild sounds a lot better than the one that leaked from what I can remember. Easy Mac shouting out BasedGod.
Maybe I'm stoned, and I am, but I really liked that shit right now. Gonna agree with illuminati_guy @illuminati_guy now Mac might have outdone Earl on that honestly.
You think that RZA beat is new? That sounds like some straight 95 Wu shit. Wonder if it's out the vault. Damn. Earl sounds great over this.
Replaying this one too.
I really want to hear that Samiyam beat on it's own.
Wow. That shit might be my favorite song from this year on one listen.
That was a weird vocal effect on some of the first verse but I liked it, fit the song. This backing music by BBNG is insane. Earl's second verse might be his best yet?
Knight is a great way to end this shit. Domo ODing on this first verse. This changing pitch shift sounds so fucking dope.
Yeah so I'm gonna have disagree strongly with both Infinity and Albert. That shit was ill, like really ill. Like I'm about to listen to it all the way through right now maybe.

Could have done with that little instrumental, Tyler's actual verse was pretty underwhelming (His on Whoa seemed more like a chorus to me), Guild is still whatever even though it's grown on me. Besides that, that shit was pretty grade A in my opinion across the board. Earl killed more or less everything, I personally really loved the production a lot (and probably listened to this way too loud starting at 1am for that reason) and all the features were on point.

9.25/10

Yeah gonna listen again right now actually. Then to 6 Feet Beneath the Moon.

I was SUPER TARDY on checking out OFGWKTA, but since hearing them for the first time about a month ago, I went out and bought Earl's "Doris" and Tyler's "Goblin" from Best Buy. I'm kinda glad I found em late so all the shit ain't played out to me already HAHAHA even though I'm slappin this shit pretty much 24/7 lately.

Goblin's good but sort of all over the place. Some really great songs on there though. You should download Bastard and cop Wolf. Both are about equally dope in my opinion and kind of show his progression from being an angst ridden skate rat in LA to becoming a really great producer (in my opinion) and finding a good balance in his music.

Yeah I was actually looking for Wolf at Best Buy and also that Odd Future Radical (not sure if that is pressed up?) But yeah I've heard em all I downloaded like a 2 gig Odd Future Discography after discovering em. You definitely make some valid points though Nuttkase @Nuttkase I'mma prolly end up coppin a few more OF/Tyler/Earl albums off amazon, whatever I can find that's pressed up cuz I support this shit for sure.

The only albums they have physical copies of are Goblin and Wolf by Tyler, Doris by Earl, BlackenedWhite and Numbers by MellowHype, Purple Naked Ladies by The Internet and the OF Tape 2.

Next up is MellowHigh which is Mellowhype and Domo Genesis together. From all the songs they've released so far under that moniker I'm really looking forward to that album, drops Oct 31st.

You should check out Earl's homie Vince Staples too and also Speak! who is friends with some of the members of OF.
