Heads are talking about the signing of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (BTNH) member Bizzy Bone to 845 Entertainment, the newly formed company formed by Old Dirty Bastard's manager, Jarred Weisfeld and finance whiz Greg Miller.
Bizzy's solo set, due September 27th is causing much anticipation among Bone fans. And for good reason.
According to Weisfeld, however, the signing is for several reasons. First reason - business. In light of his huge popularity, Bizzy was an obvious choice. After his last solo effort, 2004's Alpha And Omega, and Bone Brothers, his 2005 collabo with fellow BTNH member Layzie Bone, fans were left wanting more.
"I wanted a second chance at hip-hop after what Cherry and I accomplished with Dirty," he said emotionally. "I just wanted a second chance to try and do that with hopefully a better ending. [Bizzy and Dirty] had extraordinary personalities and Dirty was like my brother and I just want to take somebody that was very similar to Dirty, Bizzie Bone, and try and see it through this time."
The decision to even start the company was a personal milestone for the man who sided with Cherry against ODB's widow, whom he labeled as "greedy."
Bizzy Bone's new album “Speaking in Tongues”, drops Sept. 27th.
