Anyone here playing it for the PC?

There are some good ass mods out now that make the game a lot better as far as loot, balancing, etc.

I'd highly recommend:
Sage's Creature Balance
G Loot mod

As the normal (they call it the "vanilla") system of leveling in Oblivion is lame...and digging through crates and barrels gets old fast, these boards fix what I see are the two biggest probs with Oblivion.

Yeah i play whenever im at home and have free time. No reason to play any other game. Im gonna beat the game once through without modding at all, then Im gonna download a LOT of the good mods out there and start a rogue. Im interested to see what the deal is with the thieves guild, because in the previous ones it was pretty lame, but this one looks tight. There is so much feeling of "secret societies" happening in Oblivion for the first time ever in the series.

It was crazy when you actually infiltrated the Mythic Dawn's HQ and they thought you were one of them. I thought that was a good addition.. they were the kind of cult you'd read about in the old ones but never even thought about the reality of them being there.

Game is so fucking sick.

in the main storyline, I'm currently at the part where you have to "Send Aid To Bruma", so im going around closing the gates around the main cities... I think i only have 2 gates left or so.

I just got it a week ago...I havent even beat the Kvatch part yet...lol.

It's alot harder than I thought with the mods installed - guys are harder - But I get way more loot.

wow... well i guess i just "beat" it if you want to call it that. Finished the main quest, but not even close to finishing the game with my current character.

But lemme just say, the final/ending battle is probably the best moment and the most powerful event that ive ever seen happen in a video game. I was just sitting there frozen as the cutscene played out, ive never seen anything like it. Was like i was watching some sort of bad ass movie except the graphics were better than real life (yeah i said that) and like i was really there.

I dont even know how the fuck they made that scene.

but yeah.. im still gonna put another 20 hours into this char before i start another one, lol. Shit has me hooked

haha yeah thats how i usually am. I cant believe i stuck with one character at first the whole time through this time. Now that im done im gonna be experimenting like crazy.. I dont even know how a caster would work in this game, I cant picture it, So i gotta try it out.

I wonder where all the xbox360 heads are.. arent there some in this forum that were smart enough to buy the game? If i had that system i would have made that choice right off the bat, but I guess people still dont really know whats up or something. This is the best game in years

And A GeForce FX 5500 128Mb AGP Vid Card

Im Running The Game On The Lowest Settings And For Sum Reason I Still get Really Bad Graphics Lag And Choppy Game Play

Try reformatting. Save your shit and re-load Windows. THat can make your shit 10x faster.

Mine is crashing now too.

I just came to the conclusion that I need a new gaming PC...although Oblivion is prone to crashing. Armen, yours is pretty old too, might wanna think about a upgrade.

Yeah i dunno why i havent had any crash problems. A lot of people seem to have them. Thats bethesda's biggest problem with all of their releases. the first daggerfall release was so bugged it was almost unplayable. Oh shit that game had bugs everywhere you looked, lol. Theyve gotten better at it but since their products are always way ahead of the curve for any given release, they are bound to have weird crashing issues no matter what.

That sucks though, it just started crashing out of nowhere? I get so annoyed when games do that shit.

When you get back to playing, and if youre playing an evil character, joining the Dark Brotherhood is cool as fuck. I got so into it i did nothing else in the game for a couple days, and rose to the top.. it has some crazy twists in the story that are pretty deep. Once youre the leader of it, you're the one giving the orders (to murder and steal, or whatever it comes up with) to all of your assassins. It was made pretty well, I got a whole squad of evil motherfuckers running around in the HQ.. haha...

game has replay value like nothing ive ever played, besides the other TES games.
