Do you think that one day (maybe 1000 years from now) we will have a written language more of symbols than words? Like how walk signs at intersections are now symbols, like how you see logos with no words, you just know what it is.

One day we may be able to understand a whole sentance form just 3 symbols?

LOL. Man. Um. I think you're confused or somethin. Like for instance, I write the word

"Police".

What do you understand that as? You know what that stands for, and even though it's a collection of letters, it in itself is a word. The word is a symbol, composed of letters, just like a peace sign or whatever is composed of lines and circles. The alphabet is a superior written language, because of it's diversity, where it can create an endless variety of 'symbols' (words). So, where you could have like a symbol that stood for "Police"... you already have a word that stands for "Police"... get me? It's the same thing, the word is the symbol. Peace~

But when you are in an area where time is pressed, you need to gather information quick. To read this : "In case of fire dont use elevator, use stairs" (almost any one has seen this) If you never saw it before or cant read words, you see the picture of a man running down away from the fire. Its easy and more effective in times of quick acting.
