damn where do I start. How do you review an album from someone you have great respect for? It has been stated from Lil C.S. that people aint knowing or are hating. How do I express myself without sounding biased and or hating? Being Im gonna be putting projects out(got 2 on the shelf and 2 in the works) Is it fair I review it? Under the other posts he or his fans started the same people gave him a review of a classic album.I would Like to hear from others besides myself who arent biased.
Anyways I feel the only way I can pull this off is say what I like about it and what i didnt.
O.k lets talk about sound quality, Ive got no complaints Its at least of a standard quality being recorded fairly well.
Beats-I was under the impression that the beats was all smashing-fact or fiction? I will say that It was intersting to hear a producer Im not familiar with(mackvillian) he is by no means wack but im not sure if he is only using one piece of equipment to make the beats or these are just ones picked by lil c.s. because he used alot of similar sounds in may beats, wich made some beats sound to similar. out of all his beats I liked about 2.(one being grind music) Rasan 0f the jetzons I was feelin I think the second beat by him. steve vicious 1st beat wasnt extraordinary, but solid musically(arangement) crickets beat was cool as well. the ecay beat was horrible and I dont know if it was because of the mixdown but you cant hear a kick or snare( THE STAPLE OF RAP MUSIC) even if you could it was alright.
Now the raps first and foremost the verse wer all pretty tight, but verses dont necessarily make a tight song.I felt the energy and flow of each and every rapper, all being lyrically solid.the hooks i think could have been distributed around more, lil c.s. does have an old school vibe.I could be wrong but it may be he writes the hook and the others write on that concept.

so when i judge an albums worthiness or value one factor I use is would I use any of the songs when I dub some songs on a c.d for friends. I cant think of one that would make the c.d. But remeber that we all have our own particular tastes in music.
That being said suggestions I would give .because I feel they have all the ingredients but with some honest criticism could elevate them to another level
1.More solo songs, sometimes 16, or 8 bars aint enough to express yourself. Also not all rappers no matter how tight they are are a perfect match, then you have tight verses ANd an o.k. song.
2.letting the artist come up with the hook after he listens to the beats can make that song more personal cause the verse will come from what hes feelin on an emotional level from the instrumental. Not drawing on someone elses experience with it.
3.Im guilty of this as well(so I should follow my own advice)
I pick all the beats cause I like them.If the artist picks he may initially after hearing the beat be able to tell if its a good fit for him(of course you gotta over ride it if its wack) but you have faith in the artist abilitys so they usually have an idea of what beat will compliment them the most.

2.If you pick a producer to carry most the load give him ample time or pick new beats as well as some older ones cause as a producer if we aint capable or lack the experience we may make songs that sound similar cause just like a rapper we draw from our experiences and emotions so depending on how we feal can effect the energy

i hope I didnt bore anyone and I hope some of this may be helpful to some and remember this aint the law its just one mans opinion and I hope the best for every artist hustlin to put out good music

Good lookin' 50 cal, but like you said people have different ears, and EVERYBODY thinks THEIR opinion is RIGHT (I'm guilty of that too). But as long as you got about 95% of the people thinkin' one way, you can't worry about the other 5%, because you can't please everybody. That's impossible, and every rapper dead or alive have people that think the exact opposite opinions about their music. But I stand by it, and die by it, according to my EARS ain't nothin' fuccin' wit' it! Some people listen to other's people music tryin' to find somethin' wrong, and if you go in with that mindstate, you're going to find SOMETHIN'. I know niggaz that listen to albums and be like "ah man that nigga didn't say that word right, or the most used "all the beats sound the same". I mean niggaz look for anything, and most of the time it's people that do music theirselves. Believe me though homey, on my son, I'm not talkin' about you, or sayin' you're a hater. We (and many other people) just have different ears, because honestly I've seen you speak on music that I think is average, or way below it. And sometimes when you hear somethin' that a person thinks is tight or wac you think "what is this nigga listenin' to. Is he hearin' what I'm hearin?". But it's a waste of time. People are going to like what they're going to like. But what I have found from EXPERIENCE that the people that are TOO critical have questionable taste theirselves (not sayin' you homey, but in general), and if and when they release music, or the people they like release some, it's not very successful. I've seen this over and over, before I even knew of you. BUT let me reiterate, I'm not talkin' about you! I've just seen this over the years, and I've become immune to it. But honestly, it's all love homey, and thank you for your opinion. 4 real! 1

Well its a releif to see that you and others arent seeing this as me trying to drag anyones name in the mud, you are right about my past opinions, I think then maybe I wasnt trying to step on toes or offend, but the more I think about it, If I hold my tongue I aint helping the artist I shout out, and I aint bein true for who I am And what I stand for, and I had to live with that, from now on Im gonna just be honest.Beleive me when I say I experienced this in my own camps, and found out that some artists are very sensitive.Example a rapper I mess with makes beats, he is a tight rapper, a decent producer, you know hit or miss, he showed me some beats over the phone and I said I like the second one but the first I didnt like, he got real quiet,I finally got it out of him,and he said Im negative etc.I kind of been hesitant ever since. However Im sure he realizes now those beats were just o.k. cause now he is getting real tight.I respect you for one cause you are passionate about what you do and seem to be a hard worker, and you do you, wich is rare cause alot follow in others footsteps, and fail miserabley at being original
Another trait I have is a double edge sword, is Ive been told especially by the woman in my life is that Im hard to please no matter what and Im never satisfied.
Its good because I aim for perfection, but what is perfect?probabaly nothing
Its bad because Im not relaxing and just enjoying shit.
one more thing Is I think jayo put the best shit out so far in dago
next is mitchy-but even his wasnt crackin from start to finish, It was a great album though, Im saying this cause I just want you to know I aint pickin out you or your music, bottom line we all trying to do the same thing and go to the same places again I give it up for you dion you

there was two the homie joe. but he went to do other things with his brother. i mean i was tryin to help joe out, june used to call him even bossman hogg, to motivate him. i don't know he just lost all motivation. joe is the cat that did staright jackin part 2, i just formatted the beat, but thats all him. but he was not really feelin the rap scene IMO. he thought it was real shady and realy didn't trust anybody but family and friends. so i mean thats cool and everything, i wish him the best of luck. but i like the jetson name so i'm stickin with it! oh yeah bossman hogg gave us that name too! up in sideways studio!

I wanted to add as well with an industry full of robots, with bells whistles and gimmicks this was a breath of fresh air to see rap in its true form.
@50 cal. Good lookin’ on this comp. Have you heard my solo album Dollars & Sins? It’s a certified Dago classic, even from people that don’t like me. Ask around, or look up old post about Dago classics, or best albums out of Dago. But homey, I’m not trippin’ it’s just that we have total opposite musical taste, and I don’t have a problem with accepting that. It’s nothin’, and it’s all about lettin’ the fans decide. And besides, success overrules everything, and I bought a 500k house with rap money ONLY (my sig says it all). But in all honestly I knew you were going to say what you said from observing you (that’s not a put down) on other posts re: production, and I knew the other people I asked did they have it, were going to say what they said. I just wanted to see if I was right. Why did you think I mentioned THOSE people? It’s all good though my nig. On some real shit, thanks for the support, and keep pushin’ homey. 1

yeah I got the dollars and sins, and will continue to support your future projects.
I honestly think you have all the right ingredients and as long as they are being utilized, its gonna keep getting better all the artists are talented Im just a lil hyper-critical even on my own shit, some cats who hear it are like that should be what b.e.t. plays and mtv, and the radio,- a few songs- maybe( dont tell them that though) my goals in this game is not radio, videos,or fame, however if it dont make dollars then it dont make sense. My goals are to build a reputation from the consumers who purchase my products -that they dont feel cheated or give them anything but the best of what Im capable of giving. My main focus is quality control and once i get a bit more bread in my account then even those i fuck with now they will be on point and ready or Ill find someone who is-and the talent pool is deep. There are alot of people who say they really wanna rap but once they homies gas there head and throw some fairy dust on them the relax like its smooth sailing here on out

Joe sounds like a real smart insightful person, this game aint for everyone.I liked that straight jackin beat because It fits june to a TEE ,I like the intro(besides that old bounce shit from his old shit) I think he should have layed 3 16s on that It was the tightest shit on there.
yeah bossman is a real creative multitalented the jetzons is cool for a production name-it stands out
