SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police said four subjects have been fatally wounded after shots were fired during a confrontation with police officers.
The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at a home near of 216th Street and Southwest 189th Avenue. Miami-Dade Police received a tip that four men, whom all have a violent criminal history, had planned some type of criminal activity at the home.
Robbery Bureau detectives conducted an investigation, which led to the identification of the subjects and the Special Response Team waited for the subjects to arrive at the scene.
"The subjects did arrive, they wearing ski masks, armed with firearms," said Miami-Dade Police PIO Zabaleta. "There was a confrontation with the Special Response Team, shots were fired resulting in four individuals deceased on scene."
No officers were injured.
Crime Scene Investigators remain on scene as they continue their investigation. Police have shut down roads surrounding the home and are re-routing traffic
