BOYLE HEIGHTS-- One person is dead after a violent fight broke out during a birthday party where 8 were shot and 2 were stabbed.
The fight broke out around 2:15 a.m. Saturday morning in the back yard of a home in the 1300 block of Los Palos Street in Boyle Heights, said Sgt. Haggerty of the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollenbeck division.
The LAPD is looking for at least one suspect in the incident that resulted in several people allegedly pulling out knives and guns.
A 22 year old man who suffered a gunshot wound died at the scene.
At least one other gunshot victim reportedly suffered critical injuries, while the others who were wounded were in stable condition and released from the hospital, Haggerty said.
Police say the incident does not appear to be gang related.
