I know this aint music, but this board gets more traffic than any others so I put it here, man what the fuck can I do about all this fuckin spyware i got on my computer, hella popups CONSTANTLY, and now some shit is on here that when I come on the internet, it changes my home page every time, and it says all this shit that you need to download this program to get rid of spyware, and it even pops my cd rom drive open, and shit like that, and then says if it's doin that your computer is exposed and we can get to your programs, WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS?????? I know theres some computer savvy cats out there, Help me with this please....I appreciate it

Well I'm not a computer sav but try Ad-Aware. You can get it a downloads.comI don't know how much good it does but it's suppose to clean your system I believe. Also, do you have an anti-virus or System Works? Do all the repair checks and virus checks and drive cleans, etc. etc. Try that, see if that helps at all.

Heres some ways to eliminate the spyware shit..They somehow found a way to change your homepage link through your internet connection...you simply go to the tools and change your homepage to your preference.

You must also look into your saved files, as there may be programs that automatically boot when you establish a connection. If it shouldnt be there, get rid of it...

Hope this helps.....

and watch what the fuck you download....theres no limit to what you may get.

ad-aware is the solution.

The answer is to never use kazaa again.



If you want alternatives you know where to find me.... but my advice is to never fuck w/ that program again.

Ok I tried that Spybot, it found like 130 problems, and got rid of most if not all of them, I thought my shit was cool, but when I come on the internet, it's still changing my homepage to whatever that ad popup is, even though I tried to switch it back and clear the history, what can i do?

yeah that still happends to me.. its just something that switches pages.. so every once in awhile i have to change it back myself.. TOOLS, Internet Options and fix it.. i wish it would stay like that.. but it doesnt.. :confused:

Go to spybot and click on "Check for Updates" - once it's done downloading the updates it'll double the database and that should fix it.

After that if it doesn't work still, try ad aware.

After that if it doesn't work go to download.com and download a program called "Window Washer 5.0" - it will wash out all temp files, cookies, etc...

If that doesn't work, download a program called "Reg Healer" -

If that doesn't work...you've majorly fucked up your computer in more ways than I'd know how to fix without coming over to your house. And I'm an IT Consultant.
