how do you edit the programs that start up when u turn on your comp? how can i prevent certain programs from starting?

Do a search on your system for Startup and see if it's in one of those folders, if not then click Start- Run- type MSCONFIG and hit Enter. There's a list of startup programs there that you can check or uncheck.

i tried all that AND IT WORKED BUT for some reson THE START menu bar doesnt let me click on it, and for some reason my mouse/keyboard acts up like when i type its like im holdin down ctrl, anyone know?

Download the program, install it, and run the scan. Might have to update the config file by clicking on the picture of a globe on the top of the program window.

^^^ check your mouse settings as well, but what dude said before should work. If your mouse/keyboard settings are off then that could be the reason for it being fucked. mess with the settings and see what happens

or your keyboard keys might be stuck. bang on all the keys a little bit when the computer is off.
