NORTHERN EXPOZURE 5 REVIEW

THIS NEW NORTHERN EXPOZURE 5 IS HELLA SICC. I SCOOPED IT UP LIKE AT FIVE THIS AFTERNOON, AND ITS STILL BUMPIN' IN THE DECK AS I TYPE THIS. TRACK EIGHT, "ACT ACCORDINGLY", HAS GOT TO BE MY FAVORITE TRACK, THAT SHIT JUST SO FUCKIN' SICC. I THINK WOOD MIGHT HAVE OUTDONE HIMSELF WITH THIS ONE. MY OTHER FAVORITE TRACKS SO FAR HAVE GOT TO BE, #'S ONE, THREE, SIX, ELEVEN, TWELVE, FOURTEEN, AND SEVENTEEN. IN MY OPINION I THINK THIS NORTHERN EXPOZURE SHITS ALL OVER VOL. FOUR.
EVERYONE WHO HAS PURCHASED THIS, RESPOND AND GIMME YOUR FEEDBACK. IM CURIOUS IF EVERYONE LIKES TRACK EIGHT AS MUCH AS I DO. >>>>>>>>

There's not one song I don't like on this whole CD, which is saying a lot cuz usually I don't get much out of other mainstream CDs that only have a few good songs. #1 Open Woundz & #2 Dip Dip Dive get constant play. #5 On the Block that laugh in the background with the xylophone effect is so Freddy Kruger, & the way he say "beeotch" is so damn right there. #9 Don't You Know That is lush music & hard as hell lyrics at the same time, "I keep a chrome 9 by my spine I keep it on me homie all the time. " #15 Say a Prayer for my enemies, execution style up on your knees" is just fucking FUN and kick ass hard evil intentions over a bangin rhythm. Great lead in to "It ain't neva too late to grab your nuts little homie-- with those fuckin boss horn blast rhythms. From start to finish nothing misses my attention, & while I like the faster harder songs better than the few slow-mo harmony ones, they all are strong, deep, and loaded with heavy points.

Dip Dip Dive & Cocaine Binge are realer than anything on MTV & BET, & like Act Accordingly got so much strength & heart. Sure we got some ladies favorites from Megan, Shannon, & Gina Z, but what the fuck?? Ain't this a family affair? I don't mind a good ass kind of BBQ style theme song like That Good Life or Dont You Know That or Fuckin With a Playa or Sayin' Nothin' -- the rest of the 18 of 22 songs are all sharp, hard, & dirty--the speed & flavor variation are pumping, never boring. Some of the new voices are unfamiliar, but it's all good expansion, and all living the realest. The last songs round it out rough & raw. Oh yeah #12 "fuck all you nobodys" dishes it out with a siccness. Why ya'll gotta hate on my name tho?

I anticipated this a long long time and had extremely high expectations -- I am blown away by the craftmanship that shows hell of homies are playing strategically on a whole other level, with more real brainpower and bigger nuts, than anyone else telling it how is really is out there in Cali right now.

There's not one song I don't like on this whole Northern Expozure 5 CD, which is saying a lot cuz usually I don't get much out of mainstream or other underground CDs that only have a few good songs. This one adds a few R&B style smooth rhythm songs to the mix, with nothing "mainstream" about the lyrics. I was caught off guard that "Norte Siden 2" has a techno lazer dance club back beat, yet grows on you quick with some kick ass speedy funking lyrics. It's all still hard core gangsta rap overall.
