the title says it all. i dont know about you guys but norteno rap is turning to shit.

-theres very little diversity(rappers rap about pretty much the same shit)
-scrap killing(knowing they never busted shit in their life)
-how hyphy and thizz they are(knowing how stupid that shit is)
-how many bitches they got(knowing their either married or got 1 chick)
-saying how tough they are(knowing their some bitches when it
comes down to it)
-and this shit dont count as diversity

theres probably more shit i could say but you get what im saying. for the most part 80% of the music these dudes are putting out is shit. if you have anything to add, lets hear it. if you think im wrong, prove it. but dont get me wrong, theres still good rappers out there that know how to make good, quality music. im looking forward to some new cds, but ill stick to the older stuff for now. (dont flame this thread either, this is a music forum after all, aint it?)

The artist I don't see falling into any of this at all is BIG OSO LOC. The raps about real topics. He has grow in huge leaps and bounds as a song writer. He matured a lot with his pen. Big Oso Loc isn't just a good Homeboy rapper. Big Oso Loc is a well rounded Rap "Artist".

I aint in to all that hyphy thizz shit,its coo if u pop thizz watever dats ur choice,but rappin about it all the time gets old.The only Homeboy rap i listen to is sum old darkoom lowdown family,Woodie and The East co co Records artists,aint nobody toppin east co co in my opinion they tha best.

My personal Opinion is 2 Things....

1. Most Rappers (Not Just Norteno Rap) Now a day's rap about what they think you wanna hear and not what they really doing....Example Younger Norteno Rappers Think All Homeboys Wanna hear is Skrap Killer All Day....Black Rappers Think Everyone Wants To Hear About How Much Money They Got and how many pills they pop and how many diamonds are in their chain or mouth.... But When your a Real G From The Streets, you always wanna hear & can always relate to: Thuggin, Being locked down, The Struggle in Life, Growning up in Broken Homes, Father in the pin during your childhood and teenage years, Police Harrasment, Lost Friends & Family Members, Drugs and Crime.... The Old Bay Stuff was like that and alot more were like thatthat we grew up on....

2. Rap is Dying Because everyone is Thinking They a Rapper Now and There Shit is The Hottest Shit out, so They Feel Like " Why Should I Go Out and Buy So & so's CD When I'm Hotter Then Them"

I Don't Rap, So I'm a Outsider with a Fresh Mind Looking In on The Rap game....

I think the biggest downfall of norteno rap is to many artists let there "homeboy" who can't rap for shit get on a verse and ruin what would otherwise be a good song..

@smokielocs - like you said different subjects matter. i agree with that, you cant have a cd with the same type of thing on every track, that gets boring fast. a cd with different subjects would make the cd alot better.

@menace2society - telling a life story or events (personally) makes the artist an actual ARTIST not a gimmick.

tru, ive heard many good songs get killed when they let some weak ass fool hop on a verse towards the end lol.

big shea knows what i mean because he had to correct a track with gangsta reese "if you ridin" cuz the 1st foo from santa clara wasnt all that great.
