Pound 4 Pound #5 Donaire vs pound 4 pound #7 Montiel.
Two of the best Bantamweights going at it. Another great fight for the start of 2011. This will be on HBO BAD. I believe Mike Jones vs Jesus Soto Karass rematch will be on the undercard.

It's about time Donaire fight someone other then the bums he's been fighting for the last two years. I want to see if he's really P4P #5.

Shaw said there was no reason for one. They wanted to move onto bigger and better things.

The way it's turned out so far, the end result of their rematch would have probably been the same.

I have Nonito via late stoppage.

This is a great fight. Between these two guys' last 20 fights, 17 have ended via KO. Both guys are on a tear. Can't wait for this one.

I'm sorry but the big difference is the fact that Vic has been still fighting the best in multiple weight classes, while Nonito been fighting nothing but cab drivers and bums.. This fight will let me see just how good Nonito is. I want to see if dude worth being #5 P4P with only one big win on his resume against Vic.

Look how smart Montiel is here (from 2009):

Look at how Montiel is just getting FUCKED up like a rag doll, by a guy who looks like donaire. Is about the same size, kinda fights like donaire but not nearly as fast or as skilled. Man, this is going to be all bad for montiel. The proof is in that video!

Am I the only one that thinks that Montiel gets completely wiped out here? A better version of Montiel fought Gonzalez a few years back and couldn't seem to figure out how to attack a taller man until way later in the fight then you have his fight with Valdez another much taller man and Montiel just doesn't look the same..

I just don't see it working out that great for him.
