i dont know about the wii being sold out everywhere. ive seen it in rp, santa rosa and windsor and a few other spots. is this system worth it? or is it all hype? are they really being sold out everywhere like nintendo says?

i bought a bundle pack at costco last week, "santa" is bringing to my kid on xmas and i knew i couldnt wait, i copped the first one i saw....Target,Toysrus, Wal mart all sell out right when the shipment gets in. IMO this is the best system to suit kids, therefore i think xmas is gonna be a bitch trying to find one

They made a new Elmo last xmas.....a dude i had class with did a news report about xmas and talked about them....elmo txm or some shit i don't know...looked ridiculous and wasn't cheap....

the Wii, from what i've heard, is good for kids.....but if you're not 5-18 then a ps3 or xbox360 is for you....but that's just what i've been told, i haven't played the Wii....i don't think i will tho...

those are the same prices i just found when i googled the Wii...

although, for $420 you get a hd ready wii, 5 sports games, a wii play 9 game pack, and an extra wiimote......

i don't know if that's good cause if i was gonna spend $400+ i would either go for a ps3 or an xbox360....

i bought mine used from gamespot for a player price with warranty.

nintendo customer service walked me through resetting it to the manufacturer default and hooking it up to my wireless router over the phone for free. and since it was never registered by the original owner, i got to register it with nintendo under my name.

i will only buy a bundle pack when i want the hw to go with it. i usually get rid of the games, however, the prices for some of these wii bundles are outrageous. i don't think its worth it.

btw another wireless controller/nunchuk combo will run you about another $60, as they are sold seperately.
