its definitely not hard to see how you would draw that conclusion. i think the repressive nature of religion leads to this bullshit going on.

^youd be surprised.
Oh really? So are you implying "the church" IS a secret society of closet methfag pedophiles? If you are implying this I would like for you to explain how you know what goes on in the thousands of churches in the u.s. alone. If this is not what you are implying explain yourself.

No, it is extremely hard to draw that conclusion, and IMHO anyone forming that conclusion (or endorsing it) is not rooted in reality.

i think the repressive nature of religion leads to this bullshit going on.
What is your take on people with religious beliefs having lower suicide rates than their counterparts? Now, some will consider me a religious person, and if religion is as repressive as you think, why is it that I am not smoking meth and lusting for men? Why is it that muslims (I'm not talking about the radicals/extremist) don't partake in those things? In addition, what about people who did "bullshit" BEFORE they found religion, but stopped afterwards? Please explain yourself phil and answer the questions if possible.

Hypocrisy is sad, but do you blame the religion or do you blame the follower?

I guess somehow i was thinking of the illuminati guys that claim to be moral good christians but are actually satanist gay pedophiles.
I dont think theres a way i can know, but i guess i might have a clue of what occurs in fake Christian churches(or megachurches) run by satanist nwo, based on some footage i have seen, and shit i read.
not that i really care tho.

maybe i should substitute christianity for "religion"
You can do substitute it all day, but that won't change anything. Here ya go:

What is your take on people with christian beliefs having lower suicide rates than their counterparts? Now, some will consider my beliefs christianity and label me a christian, but if christianity is as repressive as you think, why is it that I am not smoking meth and lusting for men? In addition, what about people who did "bullshit" BEFORE they found christianity, but stopped afterwards? Please explain yourself phil and answer the questions if possible.

oh yeah, i dont doubt this was a politically motivated outing but nevertheless....... its not hard to wonder why all these freak events in america usually have some sort of religious zealotry behind them.

What about freak events like the war on terror? Do you see any religious zealotry behind it (and no I'm not talking about muslims)?

You didn't have to, phil. The only thing you needed to do was make a half-assed comment about how you could see how one could draw that conclusion about "the church" -- which usually means the majority of "christian" churches OR the entire "body of christ".

i dont know why youre not lusting for men or smoking meth. what if you are and youre lying like haggard. he's still denying it. even if youre not, i never said religion, or christianity is a guarantee you'll be a closet freak.
You didn't have to, phil. All you needed to do was make a half-assed statement pertaining to the repressive nature of religion and how it leads to devient behavior. What you said was, "i think the repressive nature of religion leads to this bullshit going on." Explain yourself, phil. If it leads to this type of behavior shouldn't there be some type of guarantee? It doesn't have to be applicable across the board, but wouldn't a certain demographic be guaranteed to be closet freaks?

what about the people who did bullshit before christianity, and continued afterwards? im not saying its every religious person so therefore...
You didn't have to, phil, and the fact that you DIDN'T clarify before you made the comment is even more of a reason to scrutinize your post.

thats a good question.. it had me thnking and i came to the conclusion its both... how? religion being intolerant of homos gives those who want to follow the faith a sense of self loathing if they feel tempted...and the person(in this case anyway) because it seemed he was the one with the loudest rally cry against it, so he put himself in that position...

It's funny how everyone jumps all over this fellow and Mr. Foley and try to make it seem like their actions are somehow reflective of the groups that they represent. And I could understand everyone's concern about this if there was some mass trend toward homosexual activity by public officials, but these are isolated cases. The media just blows it out of proportion to give the impression that it's some commonly occuring practice.
