Eventually there will be one. It's the Inevitable. Every great empire has collapsed. What makes amerika so different?
Exactly! Inevitable was the exact word I was going to use. I don't think there is going to be a revolution just by the masses coming together on their own accord (like the African American revolution [civil rights] in the 50's-60's), it will come about when 9/11 is repeated continuously; when we are faced with a life or death situation. It is going to happen when the morale of the United States reaches an all time low -- when the government (especially the military) begins to oppose itself.
The reason there is no revolution right now is simple. Lets say I am your "average" American. Now I go to school, work -- kick it with my friends, party, visit with family, the works. As I live my life, day by day, I am actually *unaffected* by the invasion of Iraq; I am unaffected by the WTC towers tumbling down; and I am unaffected by foreign policy and globalization. The people of this country are not at the shit end of U.S. atrocities, rather we reap from the benefits of such events whether we agree with the cause or not. So take myself, your "average" American for example; why am I going to stand up against my own government? Just give me one good reason. And with this reason, how is *my* life going to change for the better? A revolution happens when we are all equally affected in such a foul manner, that we will have to rest our prejudices and unite in order to accomplish a common goal. It will take place when something so extroadinary happens, that people will forget about race and skin color, or why they hated [x] in the first place. Such an occurance can and will take place, and it will happen at a time when this country expierences significant civilian casualties whether that be from an atomic bomb, or redundant terrorist attacks.
We Americans are to tranquil to oppose that which provides us shelter. We are able to live at peace amongst ourselves in a material world because of how cruel our government is. We as a people have grown into a state of dependance for our government. We are stealing oil so *we* can drive to work (an example of not being on the shit end). So while this happens, I get to drive to the liquor store another day while a pissed off Iraqi starts building a briefcase size bomb to set my neighborhood afire.
A revolution occurs when the public begins seeing eye to eye on severe governmental failures. And more importantly, it will take a voice, many voices, to blueprint this revolution. If you are "anti-American", you would have to believe that it will eventually happen.
