MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- Miami Beach police said three University of Delware students on spring break were beaten by bouncers inside a well-known South Beach nightclub.
The dispute started over a bar bill at Club Mansion on Washington Avenue Friday, according to police.

The three men were kicked and punched several times. "Injuries to victims included a cut to Merryman's left side of his face, which required stitches."
Charged with assault and battery after the Mansion melee was bouncer Jex Fontaine, who police said struck one of the victims with a closed fist in the face. Police said the punch ignited a full-scale brawl in which "victims were punched and kicked repeatedly," according to police.
Police said the men were beaten after they were taken to an office at the club in reference to a bar bill.
"In the office, they were involved in a verbal altercation. At some point, Fontaine struck Merryman," according to police.
Also charged were Anthony Batts, Miami Beach; Matthew Pichardo, Hollywood; Eric DaSilva, Aventura; Diego Bustos, Miami; Corey Andre Robinson, Miami Beach; Juan Pagan-Soto, Miami; and Manuel Gaston, North Bay Village. The report also named Antonio Marshall, Miami Beach; Jason Nieves, West Palm Beach; and Orlando Hernandez, Miami Beach, but it was unclear if they were charged.
