Both are good...

2K7 has a feature called Cinemotion, which plays orchestral music according to what is going on in the game, I know, it sounds corny, but it's like watching a movie sometimes, is really cool.

NHL 07 uses the L stick for player movement, and the R stick for moving the stick, you do your passes and shots, and dekes and all that. It has a few bugs and kinks to work out, but it is a good game.


Try the demos, and figure out which one you like better.

i prefer NHL 07...and no its not cause EA has brainwashed me. they are both dope games. just like the controls. like how they have the sticks set up

It's like this:

If you want realistic hockey where you can't just knock a guy on his ass everytime he gets the puck and win the game, then get 2k7. If you want more arcade-style, less skill-oriented hockey, get 07. I played the EA games my whole life until 2k5 came out, at which point I found the most realistic and fun hockey game ever. It's too easy to master EA hockey games and after a while they get boring because every game is like 9-3. The 2k games take a little longer to manage, so I think they're more fun.

So I'd recommend 2k7.

Also, I'm not sure about 2k7, but 2k6 has a really good fighting system where you can throw fake punches, grap a player, and some other shit that makes it more interesting. I'm sure they built on that somewhat too for this year.

I've been playin hockey games since nintendo. And almost everyone and I have to say 2k7 shits on everyone.. When I get this game on 360 its the redlight special!!
I have wasted countless days at work on 2k6 and that shit is one of the hardest games to put down ... I say get 2k7 u won't be dissapointed...
