PERSONALY I THINK THE MOMENTUM HAS SHIFTED TO THE BAY ALL THE LABELS ARE GONNA BE SEEKING OUT BAY ARISTS I THINK YOU HAVE TO RELLY BE UNIVERSIAL WITH IT TO GET THAT MAJOR DEAL OUT THE BAY.
1.MOST IMPORTANT MAJOR AIRPLAY OUTSIDE THERE LOCAL REGION.
2.STOP PUTTING SO MANY FEATURES THEY DONT HELP WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR TALENT

5.MAJOR LABELS ARE LOOKING FOR MAJOR BUZZ

if someone knew the answer, someone would be real rich right now.........originality, and also the bay is so expensive to live, people have to support their family and rap is not gonna do it, so there is alot going on in people's lives than just focusing on rap. everyting is a factor........it comes down to hard work. i've heard people finish their album and say the hard work is done, BUT in reality getting your cd out there and selling it, is the hard part. who knows
iT'S GUNNA TAKE A WHOLE BAY MOVEMENT. THE CULTURE OUT HERE. THE MUSIC...THE SPEECH...THE STYLE...THE FASHION..THE LIFESTYLE.....AND THE NATION NEEDS TO SEE THAT THROUGH VIDEO'S..SO A MAJOR BREAK THROUGH RIGHT NOW IS TO GET A BAY ARTIST WHO'S NOT 40 (NO DISRESPECT AT ALL) BUT SOMEONE ELSE WHO CAN GET IN THAT POSITION WIT MUSIC & DOE TO BRING IT TO THE MASSES ON A BET 106PARK...IT SOUNDS PRETTY PRESCHOOL BUT THAT'S IT...OR ELSE IT'S GUNNA BE A FEW MORE YEARS AND WE AIN'T GOT THAT..NIGGAS IS HUNGRY NOW.
If the bay scene becomes laced with neputes, Chingy etc I'll go back to rock music, Straight up. We have our own thing around here, we shouldn't let the TRL types take that away from us. the east , South and Midwest mainsteam constantly bite eachother, the west and the bay shouldn't follow suit and be the same as them.
tru, the "bay" should not try and be the same as anyone else. but fact of the matter is, everything is the same, it's just what u do with it. there is nothing new in music. people are talking about the same things. it's just the way they are doing it, it's differnet. and they are the ones who are gettin paid. who knows....
