Warren G Makes History!

Warren G will make history this month, as he becomes the first African American to have his own line of electronics. JVC are the company that will release the "Warren G Signature Series," 12" and 10" speakers & 2 and 4 channel amps. According to The Source, Warren G said : "I sat with the engineers and designed my whole speaker from scratch, my amps is platinum and black because I'm a die hard raider fan and I'm already in 600 Best Buy stores and they expecting to move 10-15 thousand a week for $250 and that's not including other chains like Circuit City."

Warren's uncle and manager, Ron G, added : "This is a partnership with JVC, not a [deal] where you just put his name on it and throw him a few pennies...They're also doing a big multi-million dollar promotion with Warren so when his album drops, every hip-hop station in America will be giving away cameras and wide screens, it's the biggest promotion that has ever been done."

That is HUGE news for fans who are anticipating Warren G's fifth album, "The G Files : Case # 213," as he has always suffered from lack of promotion and therefore poor sales for all of his albums after "Regulate...G Funk Era." The new album will hit stores early this summer and features tracks with, amongst others, Snoop Dogg, Bad Azz, Kurupt and Raphael Saadiq.

"Head Of State" Tops Box Office (news on nate dogg)

The new Chris Rock film, "Head Of State," took the top spot at the North American box office this week with opening figures of $14 million. Reviews have been mixed of the film, while some praised the movie's comic moments, others were un-impressed by Chris Rock's work as co-writer and director of the film. Two Westcoast legends were heavily involved in the film, Nate Dogg & DJ Quik. DJ Quik provided the musical arrangement and score for the movie, some of which invloved DJ Quik using an orchestra, and Nate Dogg appearing periodically during the film to musically narrate what has been happening over the music. Whoo Kid done it again!

That's right... We back with another mixtape update. This time is DJ Whoo Kid who's hittin' us with a blazin' mixtape, called "G-Unit Radio Pt. 6". But its not only G-Unit, the DPG clique is all over the tape, specially Snoop Dogg.
In my eyes, this is one of the best mixtapes to come out in ages, props to DJ Whoo Kid for this. The long awaited Tupac/50 Cent collabo can also be found on here, and its surprisingly good! Red Spyda did alot of production, and he sounds great, good job. Tupac sounds very good and 50 cent disses Ja Rule again. Further on we have remixes of "Beautiful" with Lloyd Banks and a remix of "P.I.M.P". with Snoop. For all of those doubting Snoop could stop smoking suddenly: you were right! After we saw him blaze up in his latest video, he now explains his start of smoking again on a hot track here.
It is also good to see Snoop Dogg and Tha Eastsidaz together on a cut with RBX! Maybe the beef rumours were a bit overblown, who knows? To top it off, Snoop Dogg, Daz & Soopafly get together for a "Hydro Hit".
Last but not least, Aftermaths artist Joe Beast spits some hot shit on a solo cut.

Below are the West Coast related tracks for download:

2pac & 50 Cent - The Realest Killaz
Snoop Dogg feat Lloyd Banks - Beautiful (Remix)
50 Cent & Snoop Dogg - P.I.M.P. (Remix)
Snoop Dogg - Crip Hop
Snoop Dogg, Daz & Soopafly - Hydro Hit
Snoop Dogg, Tha Eastsidaz & RBX - Let's Get High
Joe Beast - Exclusive

Enjoy the songs, and if you like what you hear go pick up the mixtape and support DJ Whoo Kid!

General's List was a compilation that Tray Dee put together and featured a lot of trays with him. I can honestly say I've felt most every verse I've heard from him since '94, so I'm definately going to cop his solo.
