I feel ya on this Phantom and it's the same over here I guess...big sales are only possible through radio play, but like I said...I doubt that you really get into the radio rotation just because you got a good mainstream sound/song...it's all about the cheddah, the right connections, a good promotion & distribution.

But there are other ways imo...
Look at Tech N9ne...he ain't turned his back at his loyal fans and together they created such a buzz around his person...I guess he's doin pretty well right now.

Droop should be a leader...not a follower!!

Btw...I ain't sayin all this with disrespect for you or Droop...
I just got mad love for Droops style of rapping and I don't wanna see him water down his music to reach ppl who don't give a shit about what's in there cd-player.

I-Rocc asked what the fans want to hear from YD and the answer is clear I guess...

I know he into makin money and shit and also know his flows are not gonna be what people expect. he is on some mainstream shit like it or not. His flows are going to be alot slower. He will be annunciating all his flows so you can hear him rhyme without having to rewind the shit. Peep the style flow he has at the end of the slapshack.com interview. Thats the type shit he is gonna come with and what you can expect on his new shit. I am almost positive on that correct me if I am wrong. I for one am for that hardcore shit. The mainstream might grow on me though. I could easily see droop behind a lil john beat.

its ironic that the album is called 'Freedom of Speech' but Droop has already been told he isnt allowed to talk about KVE.

What the fans want from a new Droop album is simple

1.Fast Flows - this is what he's built his reputation on, this is one of the reasons his fans love his shit

2.Gangsta ass beats - fast and slow. i wouldnt say Droops past production is always dark, weekend seazon & MVP knock but aint that dark. FUCK COMMERCIAL BEATS tho foreal, just solid shit. With a strong enough underground following rappers dont need to be soft to eat.

3.Good guests - rappers on Droops level, a track with Luni - i dont think they ever dun one?, Hollow, Mitchy Slick, Yuk - defo another track with Tech, this time a true collabo rather than just a remix. i'd also like to see Droop flow with some Southern cats and more of Droops fam Stone Kold and Dubble J etc.


Sorry for goin on but Droop is fuckin raw, its rare you get asked what u want on an album from one of your favourite acts.
