Me and Loki sat down like men in the visiting room on July 15, 2006, and discussed what needed to occur. A little under 2 weeks later, the things we discussed were taken care of. My hat off to Lokizzle for stepping up when it was crunch time and never denying responsibility for anything. That’s why he’s Bloc Star VP. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a completed master. Ignition is finally done. We have to do the artwork and press our promo material, but we can speak in definatives now as opposed to hypotheticals. Definitive? Ignition will be released on January 23, 2007. There is no way to do it any earlier because we need time to promote. This isn’t just something we want to release and allow to sell whatever it sells. That is not what Bloc Star is about. We want everyone to know this CD is coming out, and we want them to know WHEN. We need to start communicating with the stores, building anticipation for the project in the streets, all of that, so right now, we’ll be preparing to launch our promotional campaign from October to January. Definitely. If we could have gotten it done sooner, we would have released it this summer, but that’s the problem with ‘if,’ ‘coulda,’ ‘woulda,’ and ‘shoulda.’ The reality is that we have to do it the way we have to do it.
