new to making beats

just got fruity loops producer edition and it is harder than i thought...any pointers?

but i would google FL Studio Tutorials or just browse and see what it can do. thats how i learned.

lot of tutorials on youtube. if you dont have any type of musical background making music on anything is going to be harder than you thought. Just practice a lot.

^^^yea but as far as I can tell, you cant sample just using FL. you can edit samples using a program like cool edit or pretty much any other audio editing program and then once you have it chopped down however you want it, then you load it into FL using the sampler plug in.

or you can just import the whole sample and chop it on the playlist

on FL they have some shit called Zero Beat Slicing Edit or some shit like that. i just use Nero Wave Editor.
