Anyone else notice that "Ah made ya look, you just a slave to a page in my rhyme book" video is totally the last scene from 8mile. Among other things that video copies from, that was the most fake unoriginal part. I hate when shit is blatently copied. Specially the ending how he keeps going accapella like Feminem did in his flick. NAS=RIP off.

Na I cant feel you on that Blight. I havent seen the 8 Mile, but you cant call Nas a rip off. One of the few east coast rappers that i really feel...and one of my fav's of all. And at least the video is on some hip hop shit instead of your everyday club bitches shaking ass rap video. So how can you call that unoriginal?

the WHOLE ENDING TO 8MILE was incorporated into that video. The crowd, the "battle scene", the accapella part.... maybe you guys aint see the movie, or just forget the whole last scene of the movie.

Nah cause its no coincidence lately THAT ALL THESE VIDEOS ARE LOOKING LIKE WHATS "HOT". The movie sold a shit load of tickets, and hes trying to do the same with the same scene in his video.

Ive been seeing videos since MTV started and ive been listening to rap/hiphop since i first bought cassette tapes when th Fat Boys were still cool. I know all about trends, and the current trend is to make a good selling video considering

YOU DEBUT AN ALBUM AND YOU GOT TO BE NUMBER ONE. Theres no moving up from number 7 like TLC. They disapear off the charts quick. You got to be in the top three or your cd sales are a flop. So what do you see? Money, bithces, champaine and cars. If theres anything off that subject, its influenced by movies. Id say the realest videos out lately are some R&B cuts and a select few rap videos.

If theres a good movie trend and you need to debut at No.1 on the charts, you COPY IT.

Blight... i made the mistake of thinking you were comparing the em video (not the movie) from the soundtrack to the nas vid. wonder how many made the same mistake?

However, HELLA east coast rappers make a video living off of copying movies. Most people act as if they are hella funny, but I find them unorigional even if done well. Think about it... Busta used Coming To America and Harlem Nights, E sermon, red, and k murry did a video using 3 different Eddie Murphy movies as scenes fro theirs. I know there are others, but cannot think of them. POINT: Having not seen the movie, it is not far fetched to think nas used the idea.
