He lost my respect, I don't care if thats the tightest song EVVVVVER I wont support it.
Yup. P did set a new standard for future Rap CEOs in terms of showing that you could put stuff out whenever you wanted, in whatever quantities you desired. What he did in '98, when he was putting out two and three CDs a month, was pretty awesome. I liked most of No Limit's CDs up to about late '98.

But he lost my respect when he started focusing too much on outside interests (basketball, that stupid stint in the WCW). Wendy Day talked about this in an interview and said that part of why everyone started leaving No Limit was because the people running it in P's absence didn't know shit. Until he makes a whole CD that's dope (and not just a few singles), I probably won't buy it, either...

Has anyone seen his son's new show ("ROMEO") that's supposed to be on Nick At Nite? Personally, it seems to me like he's pimping his son to make more money, but others might feel different...

PEACE!

Master P - Tell Em'
Yup. I just played it now, and you're right...The thing I hate about P's stuff now is that he skimps on the verses to make more room for the choruses (or hooks) and chanting. It used to be that P's verses would be at least sixteen bars, sometimes even longer (i.e., "Back Up Off Me", from THE ICE CREAM MAN).
I think he underestimates the intelligence of today's listeners. Does he think that fans "won't pay attention" to longer verses?

And then he starts that pussified chanting at the end ("East Coast do yo' thang/West Coast do yo thang," etc.) All that time that P's wasting on repetitious chanting, he could be making the verses longer (especially the second verse, which is only ten bars). I feel like I'm listening to a cheerleader at a pep rally rather than a rapper. P, it's called "Rap", not "chant." You say you're going back to the "old you", or whatever, but you ain't.

PEACE!

i respect P for where hes gone considering where he came from, and for what hes done. but as far as his music i just dont feel it no more. it went downhill after '98-'99. IMO

and i cant feel a track thats supposed to be hard and for the streets, from somebody who does a sitcom on nickelodeon.
