Yea Noah is gonna be dope! I actually wanted him last year, but then he didnt comeout! He wouldve went higher the previous draft to! I was happy we got him! he is a hustle player, that plays "D", very fundamental, and I think he will develop a good Offensive game!! Who knows if hell be like Ben or not, but I do know he will be good!! Got Em!!

Artest and Wallace for Kobe?? buhahaha. One of the most retarted offers EVER!!!

Deng + Gordon + ??? for KB would be reasonable. But why did GM Kobe veto Deng in the deal anyway? He'd be working with Nocioni, Wallace, Duhon, Gray, Hinrich, Sefolosha, Thomas, Noah (and whoever else).

We would have gotten raped, I'm so glad it didn't happen.

Yeah, those offers are complete fraud.

Could anyone imagine someone offering this shit to Jerry West? Mothafuckas don't have any respect for Kupchak and they're not even trying to be smooth about it.

They (Lakers) need to just come out and say they ain't doing it anymore so don't ask. This motherfucker has two years before he can just up and bounce, don't give this motherfucker what he wants and just keep him.

People act like Kober has sole responsibility in this mess. Shaq has NEVER had problems with another star long side him. He DIDNT fued with P.Hardaway. He DIDNT ask for 30 million per to play yet was clearly not the player he was in his prime. Kobe COULD have done more, but Shaq already admitted that Buss played a major part in that break up. Why would he throw in his two cents FOR Kobe if it was his sole responsibility to him getting traded.

What is worse is other players do worse shit and it is forgotten. What about TMac and Carter not giving full effort to force a trade. At least you know Kobe will give full effort. Or how Alonzo Mourning was being a whiny bitch to get out his contract with whatever team he was traded to a few years ago. Kobe may be selfish and go about things the wrong way, but no one can say he doesnt give 100%

Any way you look at it, The Lakers will get raped. They have to trade him this year. Next year they will get even less, or they could just let him opt out. There is no equal value for a player of his stature.

No they don't have to trade him.

They can stick him to the contract that he signed and keep him for two more years. Yeah, they would get nothing(except two years), but they get next to nothing with any trade they've been offered so far.

After 2 years, Kobe will have had 13 seasons worth of games and over 2 seasons worth of postseason games.

When Michael left Chicago and then showed up playing for Washington guess how many seasons he played and how many postseason games he played.

Mileage takes its toll and two years from now Kobe may not have the same game. The Lakers don't have trade him and they shouldn't if they're not going to get a decent deal.

Just some thoughts after reading some of this:

Ben Gordon trash? LOL...come on, Rob...don't be a dummy.

Noah = Wallace? SMH

Kobe vetoed the trade with Deng included because...Deng is the best player on the Bulls right now. He WANTS talent around him...LOL @ questioning that.

The Lakers DONT have to trade him, but now is the best time (last year would have been better). The closer it gets to him being able to opt out...the less they'll get for him.
DO IT NOW and get something, rather than have him walk away and have to rely on Brian Cook to be your leading scorer and win you some games.

exactly. They CAN hold him to that contract if they want, but they lose. I'll be a laker fan regardless, but their management is dumb.

Kobe aint goin no where--for now.

Teams are willing to give up too much for him, and when he gets there, he is surrounded by the same amount of talent, or lack tehreof, he has around him now. If he is serious about a championship run, this aint the season to get traded.

The most I've ever seen Ben Gordon play was in the series against the Pistons last year and he looked terrible. He doesn't have the consistency, in my opinion, to be a good starter. His offense seems to come too much in spurts and he's far too streaky. I think he'd be better as a sixth man. He's also far too short to be a shooting guard when he's guarded by players five inches taller than he is.

Noah isn't as good as Wallace now, but Wallace is declining fast and Noah is getting better fast. Noah's game is very similar and I think they'll be almost the same player, eventually. Noah will hustle, get you rebounds and block shots. Same thing Ben does.
