Interscope president Jimmy Iovine invited retailers to a small listening party recently for Eminem’s new album, “Encore,” due Nov 16. One thing was glaringly apparent early on, the Detroit rapper can’t stand President Bush. "The cuts we heard were very political. Eminem’s distaste for the Bush administration is pretty clear," reports Rolling Stone. Retailers are projecting that the Dr. Dre-produced CD will sell over one million copies in its first week. "I think it's possible," Kevin Cassidy, executive VP of retail operations at Tower Records told AP. "Prior to ‘8 Mile’, Eminem was a premier rapper. Now he's a premier artist." “Encore,” along with the first single, “Just Lose It,” may also arrive in stores with a limited edition bonus disc of songs that were leaked onto the Internet last year.
